The south has a lot of stereotypes too though.

100 pages with no acceptances is still totally worth it. Its the small victories that count.

I like to think Virginia is a nice mix between south and north. There are the southern hick types, but you get the exact same type of people in rural New York, Pennsylvania, and all across the mid-west. Virginia also votes Democratic sometimes, which in my head puts it out of the "true" south.

But hey, at least I'm not from New Jersey.

Yep, I watched the whole series this summer. I won't rant about it on here, but if anyone hasn't seen it they really should. McNulty was always my favorite character, but there were some other really close ones (Omar, Marlo, Bunny)
