This should have been personal statement. It even suits Cornell's fondness for essays 3 lines or less.ruleser wrote:Before or after Rambo joined them?John J. Rambo, Esq. wrote:Rambo is unimpressed by your odds. What were the odds of the Mujahideen fighting off the Soviets?

Except for one interview request, yes.autumn80 wrote:So the theory is the DR 11/24 are all deferrals? The YP'ed people and the not-so-glam ones alike?
Surely. Of course, Rambo and the US government have little to do with each other.shadowfrost000 wrote:Better when the US government helps your cause.John J. Rambo, Esq. wrote:Rambo is unimpressed by your odds. What were the odds of the Mujahideen fighting off the Soviets?
Since Rambo the Mujahidin ain't the Governator, who is all red and white and blue and snagged a Kennedy princess.John J. Rambo, Esq. wrote:Surely. Mujahadin is plural. Mujahid is singular. So, unless Rambo is more than one person, he's a Mujahid. Just sayin'.autumn80 wrote:Since Rambo the Mujahidin ain't the Governator, who is all red and white and blue and snagged a Kennedy princess.John J. Rambo, Esq. wrote:Surely. Not really, because a Mujahid is just a practitioner of Jihad, regardless of location. Your play, sir.John J. Rambo, Esq. wrote:Unless Rambo is more than one person AND if he is a member of the Afghan resistance, he's a Mujahid.

Fair enough. In all endeavors, I try to limit my attention to the plot of Rambo III. Just personal preference.waiting4law wrote:Not really, because a Mujahid is just a practitioner of Jihad, regardless of location. Your play, sir.John J. I am fairly certain that Rambo is a Kafir anyways, and so can't be a Mujahid. (Sidenote: voweling arabic is hard, can we just stick to SATTS)waiting4law wrote:Not really, because a Mujahid is just a practitioner of Jihad, regardless of location. Your play, sir.John J. I think you mean he's "kafir". Kuffar is plural. (Just in case waiting4law must point it out later )CyLaw wrote:I am fairly certain that Rambo is a Kufar anyways, and so can't be a Mujahid.
