I agree with others, pride isn't really a reason to stay on the waitlist. If you were offered a spot and turned it down, you'd just be wasting time that someone else could be using to plan their withdrawal from whatever school they deposited at and give them extra time to find housing up in Ithaca.

I withdrew from all schools that put me on a waitlist because I know there is someone else that wants to go to those schools like I want to go to Cornell.

As for your ego, you can be happy to know you made it this far and you'll be at a school about 10 spots off in the rankings from Cornell.

hey everyone,
just wanted to say keep the faith. I got off the WL on August 10th I think last year, and now am a very happy 2L at Cornell. I had already moved to another school in fact and was buying my books for that school when I got "the call". Good luck!

Did anyone do their interviews? How did they go? What they ask?

I feel that if anyone did their interviews, they're keeping quiet about it. If you are just nervous to post online, please shoot raycharles and myself a PM. We'd appreciate it. Thanks.

What are the best methods to get off of a waitlist and into the school?

At this point I think the only way to get off the waitlist is to get to Ithaca and knock off someone who's a day early for orientation.
