Did we come to a consensus on when we'd hear at the very latest?

If you haven't heard before Christmas, start panicking.

Well I'd hope by then. I'm EA. Is their office open on the 24th? I couldn't find info on that on the website.

People are saying 12/17 is when they think our status checkers will update to DR, given the 2-day lag a lot of people have noticed. At that point a lot of people have called for their decisions... does anyone know how long it takes via snail mail/call/email to get the other decision? I'd rather not call. I figure I'll get my decision soon enough, and flooding the office with calls slows it down for everyone else. (Although I'm not judging anyone else, you should do what works for you.)
The depends on where you live, I would imagine. They mail the letter the day of the decision (according to the person who emailed for the address change, and go an acceptance) so however long the mail takes...

I wish I had your complete date to feel the same optimism. But I'm EAC 11/13. So I feel more nervous about it. I guess good news that they defered a 11/16 and not me yet. :)

Thought that can mess with your mind

Am I on the border of acceptance/deferred or the border of deferred/rejected?

Edit: Even better - is the universe finite or infinite.

Cue the Twilight Zone music.

Hopes.... fading....

Edited: HAs anyone else reached a zen calm? Like 2 weeks ago being in the deferred batch would have crushed me, but it has been so long, and such an up and down.... I suddenly feel prepared for any outcome.

Accepted 12/08. Called the office that day to find out the decision, and received the packet in the mail yesterday.
I went complete 10/7, EA.
GPA<25%
LSAT>75%

+1...after many blows from many schools, I'm just down on the ground waiting for the next kick.

Just withdrew my application after being granted admission on 12/8. Hope it helps one of you EA deferrals or WLs out in the future.

Man, crackberry, spreading Christmas (or Hanukkah or Kwanza or New Year) cheer to applicants waiting to hear back all over the place.

This may be the bitter pessimist in me, but you did double check with Stanford to make sure it was not a mistake before you started all the withdrawals, right?

If that actually happened, crackberry could get an early primer on reliance damages.

Oh shit. Haha no, I got the admission packet (with tee shirt) in the mail about 2 hours after getting the call from Dean Deal. I have it in writing now; no way they can take it back, right?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
