You're probably right. I've been patient. But like I said, I was frustrated this morning. I just got in at ND and BU, so I think that should be enough to hold me over a few more days.
I'm right there with you. It's been over 7 weeks since I applied to Cornell. We only have a few more days to wait until the EA notification deadline.

Congrats on ND and BU!
wackjickham wrote:I'm tempted to call again just because I have a feeling the office will be closed next week which means I'll have to wait for my letter... I don't mean to sound entitled but I thought I would have a decision by now as LSP puts me at "Admit" (93%)
They'll be open until the 23rd.

Still EAC 11/5. Hoping my rejection doesn't come right before Christmas.

This is the least activity I've seen here in days. Has everyone basically given up?

I'm basically over it. I'll call Tuesday since I assume all decisions would have been rendered by then but other than that I'm kinda mehhh about the whole thing now.

I'm trying my best to put Cornell out of my mind until Monday. If I get a surprise notification great but basically I know I won't know whether I've gone DR until then so there's no point in torturing myself about it...

Edit: I didnt realize this was going to be my 500th post... kind of a mediocre one.

Just got the admitted E-mail 1 minute ago. Finally! Status checker still says EAC Complete 11/13. I'm so glad I'm in!

It's things like this that make ignoring Cornell really hard.

Congratulations though!

Thank you! Yours will arrive soon enough.

Does the admitted snail-mail letter contain any scholarship information, or is all that to come later (if at all)?

GRR ARGH! After seeing stuff about email acceptances, my heart skipped a beat when I saw Law-Admissions as the from address in my inbox. But it was just FSU asking me to apply.

Thanks, guys!!!!

I'm sure you'll all be hearing good news soon, too!!

btw, status checker does still say 11/16 - maybe bugging them with phone calls forced them to start sending these emails!

I'm numbed from good and bad decisions elsewhere. And waiting for Northwestern to wake up. But yes, almost given up being admitted.

This tells me that Cornell's status checker is more like a broadsword than a scalpel. We treat it like a finely tuned instrument but maybe it's not nearly so precise.

In either case, I'm lapsing into resigned fatalism as a defense mechanism. Which somehow doesn't prevent me from checking status 3-4 times a day.

I'm right there with you, guy. But doesn't it change only once a day—at midnight?

Broke down and called. Spoke with the admissions office and they said they're going to get all EA decisions out on or before 12/24. Hang in there everyone.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
