So is anyone making plans to go to the ASW March 5th? I just got a travel subsidy (fast and easy process) and am excited to visit.

Is there an 'In at Cornell' thread? I hate to ask this in front of people who are waiting.

Quick question, if the status checker says decision mailed but I didn't get an email about an acceptance does that mean its a ding?

It sounds like this might be true. A bummer - I'm in the same boat.

(Edit: maybe not a ding, but probably not an acceptance)

submitted 12/15. Still not complete. I have emailed--no response. Called and they said they'd check and get back--no response.

Congrats to everyone.

On the reserve list. 165/3.7

My mother read the letter to me over the phone. Did it say that we should send them a letter within 3 weeks?
Thanks.

Same day and same situation. Still at applied. It was a long shot to begin with for me though.

it takes a looong time, I submitted 11/15 or so, went "applied" 11/20, and went complete about a week ago, it may take even longer now because I am sure they got swamped at the deadline. I wouldn't expect to hear much for quite a while sadly.

so does this mean that physical letters are sent to permanent address and not current? Thanks for the info and good luck!

So anyone who's been deferred heard back yet? Or are we still in for the long haul?

So if I am sitting at 'Applied' as of 1/5, will I even go complete before April 1?

+1, same stats.

I dunno what to do now. LSN has a couple people with 167, 3.8+ that got accepted, so I think we might be right on the edge, but who knows how many of us there are? Getting back to us after May means putting in seat deposits anywhere we might want to attend, and their letter made it sound like only half of one percent of applicants were getting in anyway.

I really don't want to withdraw, but I dunno that I'm willing to bet $500 that they'll take me super late in the cycle. Ugh.

Another "applied" since 1/5....can I expect to hear by August? Gahhh.

I did get a letter inviting me to apply and waiving the deadline, so at least I'm not freaking out about that.

Did anyone who got in EA (or RD for that matter) hear anything on Fin aid or scholarships after the first round of Dean's scholarships?

I'm pretty much sure I'm withdrawing at this point. Cornell was never that high on my list (sorry, Cornell!) and I have some decent scholarships at lower-ranked schools, so I don't think a May acceptance would make me turn around and head to Ithaca at this point.

Out of curiosity, have any late-December people gone complete yet?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
