That UVA graph is appalling. I don't feel bad now because of my waitlist lol. What is their reasoning behind it?

I wonder if they actually come out and say that they are number-whoring? They are not really fooling anyone..

Can you be more specific? How did she make it sound that way?

Yes, please elaborate. Is the presumption that there will be no decisions until after this friday?

Sure, I said that seat deposits were coming up at other school, and she said that there's is Friday. She then said that, if I haven't been notified and I have been complete since 2/8 (she looked me up) that it would be best for me to check back after Friday. She also said that there are still spots. I don't want to quote her, but I remember it seeming like after Friday was a key time because she mentioned several times that day was seat deposit day and after that is the best time to check back. She also mentioned that they are sending out decisions every day.

... Not a nec. conclusion, but a reasonably optimistic explanation
Cool. Thanks for elaborating. When I called, I mentioned the date I would have to send in a deposit elsewhere (Thursday) and she told me to call Cornell Wednesday night/Thursday morning to check in, even if my status checker hadn't changed. I was planning on doing that anyway, but it's nice to know I'm not being a nuisance.

Status Tracker updated to "Decision" 04/12/2010.

Does no email imply waitlist / reject?

Thanks.

I'm guessing a WL with those numbers. Write a letter and maybe you can change their minds.

Yeah...but wait to send it until you actually receive the notification. Because if it's not a WL, you'll be kinda salty.

At this point there are no spots left. Give it a few weeks after the deposit deadline (tomorrow) and see what happens.

+1 I'm sure a ton of people had a really hard time choosing like me and waited to the last minute to make a choice. I predict big things next week.

Ha, every time someone who is EA Deferred calls they say "There ARE still seats open." But I agree. No movement (except reserve and dings) until next week.
