I would just be patient. The applications are up like 40% this cycle. They are likely swamped.

So, I applied way back in early November and have been "Complete - your application is in our system, etc" on the status checker for ever. Then, today I received two emails from Cornell letting me know, "your application for admission to Cornell Law School is complete and ready for committee review." Anyone else get this?

Any news from the people held over? When will the holding madness stop? Was it early March that people started getting off the deferral list last year?

Hi all,

I'm a 2L at Cornell, and today I had to stop by Admissions for something. I'm good friends with the adcomms, and one of them told me today, and I quote, CLS saw a "45 per cent" boost in the number of applications this year.

I was floored by that number. She also told me that they're swamped at the moment. Try to be patient...best of luck.

I can tell they're swamped. It took the office three weeks to respond to a question! My theory about the application increase is twofold: 1) More applicants in general are applying to law school, and 2) T14ers are BLANKETING the entire T14 this year because of point (1). So, I'm guessing Cornell is seeing lots of stuff they like, and lots of stuff they know won't attend this year.

I feel them, but the thing is, I need to know soon so that I can start looking for stuff (apartments, etc.) should I be accepted and choose to attend. I didn't expect a next-day decision, but I kinda want to be moving somewhere in the admissions process.

Got a nice Cornell viewbook in the mail today. Was hoping it was some info on merit scholarship. I wonder when that comes out, because my decision on Cornell would be completely determined by that.

I think mine came pretty late. Something like March.

I'm surprised you hadn't done so as soon as you got into Michigan.
