Any other admits get accepted for spring/summer start? If so, how do you feel about it? Are you going to try to switch to fall start? I'm not coming straight from UG, FWIW.

I was admitted for summer and its a huge plus for me. I'm about 4 years out of school so I'd rather get this ball rolling. It also lets you acclimate to the law school load since summer is one class lighter than the regular fall semester

Yeah I'll be 2 years out of school when I enter law school (graduated UG in 2008), but what I'm a little concerned about is waitlist stuff. What if Michigan ends up being the best school/my top choice that I get in to before June 1 or whatever but I'm still on the waitlist at a higher choice? I'm not that concerned about this prospect since I would be perfectly happy at Michigan, but the thought of it is a little unnerving.

Interesting information. My online status shows decision 11/18, and I logged into the admitted students website.
I assume I am in as well (RD). No email or snail email about the decision yet.

Congratulations! There should be a Mailings section (or something to that effect) in your Admitted Student site that shows when your offer package was mailed out.

Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not but I'm an undergrad at U of M and the Associate Dean of Admissions came and spoke in one of my classes yesterday. I spoke with her after class and she said that an addendum explaining "Why Michigan" would be very helpful and that, while numbers are important, they are much more likely to admit a borderline applicant who seems like they would add a lot to the incoming class (i.e. personality, genuine) than they will someone with a 4.0/180 who comes off as having no personality at all.

I'm sure you guys already know all of this but I figure TLS has gotten me through this stressful process so far, so anything I can do to return the favor is worth a try
