Has anyone else been asked to interview? I don't know what I'm supposed to think about this....

Why didn't they like me enough to just let me in?!

I hadn't heard of that, but I guess it's a chance to really impress them. Plus, it's definitely better than not hearing anything. Maybe they just can't wait for their ASW?

They asked me to do the same. I'm not sure what this about...

The only thing that I can think of is that I wrote my PS about a semi-controversial subject. I am very anti-death penalty; I currently work in a firm whose sole purpose is to defend death-sentenced inmates, and I plan to defend death-sentenced inmates for my entire career. Maybe they just want to find out why I want to go to Gtown, considering they don't have a death penalty clinic or anything?

I'd assume the interview is more likely to just prove you can tie your shoes and string together a sentence, rather than to astound them into admitting you. I suppose it might also be a chance to show commitment, but I think that's usually overestimated by 0Ls.

I have no clue why I was asked. But, for some odd reason, I enjoy interviewing so it shouldn't be too bad.

I'm only 2 hours away from DC, but they offered an alumnus in town that I could interview with. Yeah, I'm going to do it. I guess it's better than getting dinged!

All interviews last cycle were with local alumni and mostly given to splitters.

I know a few people who were asked to interview last year... I think it's pretty standard for Gtown for splitters and people with borderline numbers.

Congrats! If you don't mind, when did you apply? Also, what are your numbers - feel free to give a range.

Thanks!

Congrats! Did your "Under Review" date update from 10/28 to a later date before DR?

Just got my acceptance letter via FedEx!! That's another school that was kind enough to ensure that I didn't have to wait the age it would take for regular mail to reach me (I'm an international applicant from Asia). I really liked the personal note from Dean Andy, he specifically referenced my PS!

RD, Application Submitted 10/26, Under Review 10/29 (changed to 11/5), Decision Rendered 11/9

I know I should go through this whole thread to figure this out but... what is a DR, and does moving from "Complete" to "Under Review" mean a decision is coming soon? I went complete late October.
