Crackberry if I didn't know you to be pretty awesome from a bunch of other mutual threads I would think this was pretty douchey, especially since your HYS bound. But, since I know there was no harm intended, here it is:

Dear DEF2104.:

After careful consideration of your file, unfortunately, the Committee on Admissions is unable to approve your application for admission to the Law Center for the Fall of 2010.

Last year, we received almost 12,000 applications for the 575 places available in our first year class, and each year the quality of our applicant pool continues to increase. Consequently, the Committee must make the difficult decision of turning down many well-qualified candidates who have the potential for success in a law program.

We appreciate your interest in Georgetown and wish you success in attaining your academic goals.

Sincerely,
This doesn't seem worthy of any horror stories. Perhaps crack was thinking of the regular WL email that tells people to go ahead and deposit elsewhere.

Thanks def. Sorry, I promise I didn't mean to offend and if they really bold that first sentence and make it large font that is seriously awful of them.

Anyway, I am out of here. I apologize for intruding and I probably shouldn't have let my curiosity get the best of me.

This is my first post, so please be gentle. I've been complete at GTown since 12/4, but have yet to go into review. Should this be a cause for concern?

No need for concern. It just means that your app is still in the queue. Remember, Georgetown does get the most apps of any law school in the country, so it's a big queue.

Hmm.. I submitted 12/22, complete 1/5, UR 1/12.. but I wouldn't worry if I were you because my lsat is below their 25% (although my gpa is above their 75%) so my timing could just be fast track rejection..

Ive been complete since 11/30 and havent been under review yet. Applied PT and my numbers are exactly in between people who have been waitlisted and people who have been accpeted. Im guessing that theyre holding onto my app until later in the cycle to make a decision.

Is being UR'ed multiple times a good sign or a bad sign? Anybody accepted to Georgetown has been UR'ed more than once? Thanks!

Welcome to the club! That'll significantly slow down your application, but I'd probably take it as a good sign.

Definitely a good sign I would think...mine is still at UR 1/7, I am still hoping for that interview request to let me know that I'm not definitely getting rejected.

No, but I got it on 12/1. Now I'm nine days into my fourth UR. Getting a little impatient lol.
