Good luck to everyone!
Wen you received your DR, did it say "Application Complete" and "Decision Rendered" or just, "Decision Rendered"?

You'll be fine. There's still one more day. Being in UR longer or shorter than others has not shown to be predictive of the decision in the end. I'd wait until 1:00 to 2:00 tomorrow and call them - my DR actually happened later than that, I'd say at 3.

I see what your doing there, but I don't think it's going to be that simple to figure out. Folks have been trying to decode this stuff for thirty to forty pages now. Time to ride the wave until Friday.

I am the master codebreaker. All we need now is a denied to let us know if they had the "application complete" update status when they went to DR.

At least the effort gives me some semblance of control in my attempts to remain proactive.

Well my theory is that all DR 12/14 will receive their notifications right before Christmas which leaves us 1 of 2 explanations.

1) Georgetown has reserved a whole batch of acceptances as a "Merry Christmas" present to many of its applicants.

2) Georgetown doesn't care about ruining the holidays for anyone, and therefore it is the school of the devil.

3) Not all LSAT test prep courses cover false dichotomy.

just teasing ...

To answer some questions about the deferral mystery-

I had an interview about 2 weeks before, my status now says under review for 12/14. I'm 3.76, 168. I am also not sure about the LOCI, but will probably hold off on it and hope that an updated transcript is enough.

Still weird though...

I am beginning to think georgetown will not tell me the decision until mid-January. They are actively looking for someone to rule me out of the list of under review.

Mine does too, by the way. It's the same date (12/14) for both.

If you crack the code, be sure to let us know what it all means.

DR for me today too.

I'm also leaving my current mailing address in a few days, and not coming back until January :( Think I'll know before Friday? I'm also in Jersey...

Also, SC says both Decision Rendered and Application Complete, both 12/14.

This observation is based on very little data, but it appears that most of the RD applicants who went DR today have numbers that would normally be easy acceptances for Georgetown. This is based on nothing more than the few TLSers who reported going DR, applied RD, and have numbers in their profile.

I'm ED and am still UR... if I go DR on the last day should I take that as a less than optimistic sign?? I was complete before the 12/1 deadline so now I'm starting to get antsy!!

I'm not sure there's much to worry about inclusively, I have pretty auto-admit numbers and am still UR, no date change.

Oh...I totally agree. I didn't mean to suggest otherwise. This is not the first wave of RD decisions and it certainly won't be the last. I was just, in the context of the curiosity about which direction the 12/14 DRs might go, making a casual observation based on some anecdotal information.

I'm also not DR yet and I'm ED for both. It's frustrating!!

I hope, but this cycle is a little wacky. The are some Cornell applicants with numbers that are not much different than mine who are getting deferred. (I have yet to hear from Cornell.) Plus, I have two widely disparate LSAT scores, so you never know.

I contacted someone who was denied admission. They had the same "Application Complete" and "Decision Rendered" set up we do. There is no code to be broken, it seems.
