I don't think this is true. Does that mean I should be expecting a ding? Fuck. If this theory holds, it wasn't interesting enough to make it to a second pair of eyes.

No it seems that fewer reads could either be a good thing (the first couple readers give you an approval) or a bad thing, and more reads means they're unsure.

Why is it unlikely that 4 people read a person's application?avacado111 wrote:I don't think this is true. Maybe they are stacking all the peeps they want to admit with low numbers.... I think this holds true for URM to decide who to accept/reject. This is starting ot make more sense.

aren't there only like 3 peeps reading an application?thegreenroom wrote:Why is it unlikely that 4 people read a person's application?avacado111 wrote:I don't think this is true. I think ususally 1 person is secretarial (answers phone) 1 actually makes sure apps are complete and there are like 3 reviewers. Although, this may just be a complete guess. lol. I don' t know.

We don't know that they haven't dinged me. All we know is that i had a decision rendered. I guess we also know from an above poster that they haven't even mailed out 11/20 DR letters yet. So it looks like there's at least another while to be waiting.avacado111 wrote:they haven't dinged you. So it's really good.tesoro wrote:Does that mean I should be expecting a ding? Well no one seems to have their numbers in their profile who updated end of day, so hard to tell if its likely accepts, rejects, or a mix. I applied ft/pt rd, unlikely at best for ft, but very possibly competitive for pt (but definitely not certain)

My status date also was updated for the fourth time today. Because I'm a big splitter (169/3.2, ED FT), I can imagine that my app is being passed around to a bunch of different people. I almost never say this, because I freak out about everything, but I'm not sure that multiple updates are bad, necessarily; if you were an auto-reject or an auto-admit, then you'd get reviewed once...they are clearly still trying to make up their minds about the rest of us.

I did a double-take there too but I think what was meant was that today was the fourth date change. The Kim Jong illest wrote:Wait, what?jk11287 wrote:My status date also was updated for the fourth time today. Not the fourth time today, but rather, my app was updated for the fourth time since I submitted in October, today. The Kim Jong illest wrote:Wait, what?jk11287 wrote:My status date also was updated for the fourth time today. Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I applied to both programs, but now my GULC status checker only indicates that I am under review for Part-time. Does this mean I was dinged from the Full-time program? Does anyone else have this? My status checker used to say "Both" but now under "Program Time" it just says Part-time.

If that theory were true, then I'd be trying to produce a hit new album about the apocalypse before I die instead of slaving in a law school.robin600 wrote:no shit! just think, 2012 is going to happen before we graduate. at least we don't have to pay back student loans!shadowfrost000 wrote:WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!
