It doesn't strike you as extremely unlikely that ALL the 12/1 DR's got in? Especially considering that all the (reported) 11/30's got in?Philaw wrote:What makes you think there are going to be any rejections?jk11287 wrote:I wonder if it means that both rejections and acceptances are coming via snail mail?

that is by far the funniest youtube video i've ever seen in my life. I laughed for about ten hours ( a little too hysterically, perhaps)....

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
From what I've gathered....GTown has multiple reviewers that pass around applications. Why is it unlikely that the individuals who are composed of primarily splitters/URMs and nontraditional students would go through a different process of review, which would in turn make for a different decision date than the 11/30ers?starscream wrote:It doesn't strike you as extremely unlikely that ALL the 12/1 DR's got in? I don't think all 12/1s got in. Some got emails already. The rest of us haven't heard squat. And no emails at this point may mean we'll be receiving snail mail. If I understand right, GULC sends acceptances only through snail mail.starscream wrote:It doesn't strike you as extremely unlikely that ALL the 12/1 DR's got in? Yes they did, and no, I don't really, but I'm wondering maybe its different for ED or something? And someone specifically posted a couple of pages back that when they called the admissions office, the woman said they were "experimenting" this year with different forms of communication.dakatz wrote:Didn't they specifically say that rejections/WL's are all email? You think they would change it up mid-process?

SERIOUSLY?? Who? Is there a post by a person who got an e-mail (from DR 12/1)?????? Or are you just speculating??raisinbran wrote: I don't think all 12/1s got in. Some got emails already. Certainly not to my knowledge. That is definitely wrong if you ask me. People need to not say stuff unless they can verify it...jk11287 wrote: I didn't realize 12/1 people had received emails? Is that true?

I didn't think anyone had received an email yet-and that was the point-that nobody had heard anything...

I heard from a friend who's been monitoring. I'd love to have it corroborated -- these posts should've been later last week. Friday? Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
If I recall correctly, there is something else that comes by mail - interview requests - which would make sense, we have splitters/urm/etc, so some interviews maybe, and they would maybe have to coordinate those before mailing.
Or not - but something else that comes via mail...

I'm not sure interview requests came with DR, though.ruleser wrote:If I recall correctly, there is something else that comes by mail - interview requests - which would make sense, we have splitters/urm/etc, so some interviews maybe, and they would maybe have to coordinate those before mailing.

As much as it stinks having to dealing with the crushing anxiety of waiting for my decision, I'm glad I'm not alone in my frustration/fear/hope/insanity.
