Application Completed since 12/3.
Has it been too long? Anyone else complete for over a month?

Application went complete 1/4. I applied ED as an extreme splitter, so the next 3 weeks will be a nerve-racking ordeal. Good luck to everyone!

On you're status checker does it make any notes that you applied ED?

I apologize if this was covered already, but as there are 180+ pages to this topic, I'll ask anyway. Did anyone else receive an invite to interview around mid-December? I have no doubt the holidays are causing a delay in scheduling an interview or even getting in touch with an interviewer, but I was just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat.

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I too, am going to post something that has probably been posted before, but this thread is so long I didn't want to go through all 184 soon to be 185 pages.
Does anyone know how long after people went DR that they received a WL/deferral/rejection email? I know some people received the email while still under review, while others went DR then got the email.
I went DR today (1/5/10), but the status checker says 1/4/10 Decision Rendered, so I'm not sure if the email would have come yesterday, could come today, could come tomorrow, etc...
Thanks everyone.

You sure you'd get a response via email? I thought most schools send out packages via snail mail. Good luck regardless.bits6884 wrote:I too, am going to post something that has probably been posted before, but this thread is so long I didn't want to go through all 184 soon to be 185 pages.

Yup, and my interviewer got in touch with me just after Christmas. We did the interview before NYE.jtang11 wrote:I apologize if this was covered already, but as there are 180+ pages to this topic, I'll ask anyway. I think, from trying to follow this thread, that Georgetown's MO has been to send emails for rejects/waitlists, and snail mail for admits. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.jtang11 wrote:You sure you'd get a response via email? I thought most schools send out packages via snail mail. this might sounds stupid... and i probably should have done more research, but do all applicants at GTown have an interview? Or is it just for certain people?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
That's what I've understood too. I'm just trying to figure out if the lack of an email so far is a good sign. I would love to come home from work tomorrow to the acceptance. I'm just bracing for something else, too. That's why I'm trying to nail down a time frame for when I would receive the dreaded email should I have been rejected/WL/deferred.JusticeHarlan wrote:I think, from trying to follow this thread, that Georgetown's MO has been to send emails for rejects/waitlists, and snail mail for admits. This might also sound dumb (I, too, don't want to read 180+ pages), but does the PT (or if you mark "both") admissions process vary significantly from FT? If so, how?

Ah, I'm following what you were referring to now and totally understand being optimistic, but very very cautiously so.bits6884 wrote:That's what I've understood too. Thanks. Mind me asking what region you're currently living in and where you did your interview?mayosmith wrote:Yup, and my interviewer got in touch with me just after Christmas. I was wondering the same thing. I applied for "both", and have been UR since 12/2. I'm getting tired of waiting.Raskolnikoff wrote:This might also sound dumb (I, too, don't want to read 180+ pages), but does the PT (or if you mark "both") admissions process vary significantly from FT? If so, how?

I applied about that time, however, I did retake in December, so that might contribute to the wait. Being patient, though..beebs wrote:I applied for "both", and have been UR since 12/2.

Just certain people. You can be admitted without an interview. Not sure why some are interviewed and others not.Neelio wrote:this might sounds stupid... and i probably should have done more research, but do all applicants at GTown have an interview? Or is it just for certain people?

My status checker doesn't mention anything about Early Decision, but e-mail correspondence received from the school does note that my application is ED.lawhawk wrote:Thirteen wrote:Application went complete 1/4. Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I just went complete today. I applied in late November but took the December LSAT, so they just got my score. I hope it doesn't take a month to change to under review. "Under review" is the next step, right? Then "Decision Rendered"?Raskolnikoff wrote:Application Completed since 12/3.

Lame...I've been under review since 12/10 and GT is about 100% more of a reach school for me than it is for you. I wonder what they're waiting on before they pull they plug on me...

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I think you may be in for a bit of a wait (a few more weeks at the least). I applied mid nov. didn't go to under review until 12/10 and haven't heard a thing since (I am also PT). If you go back a few pages, it seems like (almost) everyone who went under review 12/10 have yet to get a decision.Raskolnikoff wrote:I applied about that time, however, I did retake in December, so that might contribute to the wait. Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
My application has been complete since 12/15, but I took the December LSAT and I am almost positive I indicated this to Georgetown (plus, LSAC sent my score to them, so they should get it anyway even if I somehow let that slip...). Should my complete date have updated to today or yesterday, or should I not be worried about this?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
No retake for me - just complete for a really long time.
Maybe they are so impressed with my application that they are showing it off to prospective students.
Or maybe they hate it, and are showing it as "what not to do".
Probably the latter.
