Apologies if this has been asked - has anyone gotten in off the WL yet?

It really wouldnt make sense for people to get in off the waitlist before the application deadline has passed... Has it even passed yet?

FT's deadline was 2/2, but PT isn't until 3/2.

I don't think FT wl will be influenced by PT..... I do think that some of the FT people aren't complete yet, and that some of the ones who are complete haven't even been glanced at for numbers.

I went complete the first week of Nov.

I've been UR several times, I think 5.

Very low numbers, applied for both FT and PT. I might possibly be considered a URM, I'm not sure.

This decision has been a long time coming!

status updated today to "decision rendered 2/18." also updated to "application completed 2/18" which wasn't there while I was under review. Under review 2/4 and 1/7.

I applied to full time and part time and it stills says "both," hope that's not a bad sign.

Before that I was In Review 12/10, then In Review 2/4.

Not really sure what to expect, but not getting my hopes up.

For those of you worried about not getting the scholarship interview invitation, there is still hope! I emailed the financial aid people asking if all the offers had gone out and expressing my interest in attending GULC with a scholarship, etc. I got a very nice reply, which said:

"The Scholarship Committee began reviewing admitted student files for potential scholarship candidates. Although all admitted students are considered for this merit scholarships, I have included your name on a list of students interested in our merit-based scholarship. We have extended a few interview invitations and there are more to come. We will be in touch with you shortly with more details. Initial scholarship offers will likely go out in March."

I'm not giving up on you yet, Georgetown! Please come through.

Just got waitlisted.

They said "The Committee has designated you as part of a small select group within the Preferred Waiting List that will be given priority as spaces open up in the entering class. "

Does this mean anything special or they just tell everybody the same thing?

First UCBerkeley rejection, then this... oh my god it's a sad day.

There's a regular WL, a preferred WL, then the select group within the PWL. What are your numbers? PM if you want.

I was not able to log into the admitted students site. I think that's a bad sign.

I would be willing to bet thats just worded awkwardly and he's just on the PWL, as in the PWL is the small select group and he is now within it.

No, there's definitely two different emails.

edit: (one for the PWL and one for the select group)

Should I email them since I have been waiting since 1/28 for an alumni interview?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
