What an inefficient mess they appear to be. They know that they are the school with the most apps received. Do they not plan ahead enough to actually deal with them?

Not to toot my own horn or whatever you wanna call it, but I don't think its that bad that RD applicants haven't heard yet. For sure, they shouldn't update the status checker to DR if they aren't planning on sending one out promptly, but there are a lot of schools out there that haven't even begun to send out decisions yet.

That being said, though, their treatment of ED apps is sort of appalling. They know what is at stake for all the ED applicants and to keep stringing us along to the last minute I feel is rather unacceptable.

Haha thank you, unfortunately I'm not even that "good" of a splitter. 169/3.23. The only thing I'm hoping will save me is the (extreme) upward trend of my GPA, from 1.8 or something freshman year to consistently above 3.7 for the rest.

FWIW, I have a 3.4 and a 172, and I got straight-up accepted. BUT- I expressed very genuine enthusiasm in Fordham. I would suggest everyone who gets waitlisted does the same- ASAP. Good luck!

I'm a RD who went DR on 12/1. I'm confused, because I thought the point of a status checker was to avoid getting a flood of phone calls to their admissions office. It seems like they're asking for a flurry of anxious phone calls or emails if they give a DR status and don't follow it up. Does anyone know how long they usually wait before they send decisions out? It really does seem like there was some error, because I'm sure they're being killed with inquiries from 12/1's right now. Fwiw, I'm 168, 3.3, w/ good WE and Rec's, so I'm expecting a December decision to be a WL or rejection. I guess it would make sense that they are ok with jerking around applicants who are rejected anyways.

168/3.5, RD, DR 12/1. I go to a highly ranked UG (according to USNWR) and I have great recs so I thought I'd get waitlisted, but I'm assuming a rejection because I haven't heard anything at this point. Besides, if I was going to get in, I would've been in the 11/30 group.

DR 12/1. will gulc deny or WL folks via snail mail at this point? i know email is ambiguous -- they're either scanning acceptances w/ handwritten notes, or sending stock denial messages. still no emails as of 12:08 pm PST.

Can someone else call the admissions office and ask if things have been mailed yet to confirm? I would but I'm in class right now!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
