All these acceptances are making me die a little inside (although congratulations are in order)...Isn't the rule of thumb if you apply ED you find out first? GDit GT !

My note talked about my PS (the specific charity I was discussing), my undergrad and that he hopes I will stay in DClz06 wrote:What did everyone's note say?

My note was a lot more vague. Basically "Congratulations, I hope you'll join us next year in D.C." Still, the handwritten part was a nice touch

Officially admitted to Georgetown, with a nice (and surprisingly long and detailed) note from Dean Cornblatt.

In! The note was a nice touch; hope the dean's hand isn't cramping up after all the notes.

To all of those getting in:
How long have you been under review for?
And when you got the letter, what did your status checker say? Was it still "Under review" or "Decision?" (I know some schools leave it as "under review" for a few days after the lettesr are sent to reduce anxiety of the applicant)

Congrats to everyone! Just applied yesterday. I wonder how long it will take for them to render a decision? I think I have pretty solid numbers for their applicant pool -- LSP puts me at "Strong Consider".

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
The status checker said "decision rendered" on 10/26 for all of us. Letters began trickling in (those closest to DC heard earliest, obviously) on 10/28. And apparently the letters were postmarked 10/27 so instead of reducing anxiety by keeping the status checker at "under review," it seems Georgetown actually changed our statuses to "decision rendered" the day before they sent the letters.BarCliff wrote:To all of those getting in:

Oh and I was under review for nearly a month before my status checker changed to "decision rendered."

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
The date on the letter itself was 10/26 though, so that really was the day that the decision was rendered. They just didn't send them out until the next day.crackberry wrote:The status checker said "decision rendered" on 10/26 for all of us. So, judging just by those on TLS, the only movement last week was on a Monday, right, the 26th? Anyone think we'll see another round tomorrow?

although that would be awesome, i think LSN shows at least a few weeks between rounds from the last couple years. could be wrong thoughoneforship wrote:So, judging just by those on TLS, the only movement last week was on a Monday, right, the 26th? Anyone think we'll see another round tomorrow?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
It's hard to tell from LSN, because it looks like people put the day they received their letter instead of when they went decision rendered. But it does look like there is a little bit of a jump after week one to week two, we'll see if that holds again this year.TruckerD wrote:Hoping and prayingoneforship wrote:So, judging just by those on TLS, the only movement last week was on a Monday, right, the 26th?
