It's been very similar with a late November (11/28) round of acceptances and then a 12/1 round with acceptances, waitlists and rejections

Well that's our answer - a 12/1 with an interview e-mail - so its def not all rejections (or defers like cornell)

edit: For now, I'm pretending I didn't even apply to Gtown . That way, if they send me a rejection, I can completely delude myself and think: wow, they must have confused me w/ someone else.lol, officially going a little crazy here. anyway good luck everyone!

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
Um, I wouldn't turn down and interview because from what I understand, it can be the difference between preferred waitlist/rejection. And I don't think they're very "hard," just an alumnus asking you reasonable questions about yourself.
And yeah, I think it is true that rejections go out by email but again, they can be delayed for several days so who knows what's really going to happen? It does seem, though, that this batch is reserved for the splitters/URM/non-trad crowd. I wonder if the DRs here are semi-based on auto-admits who got in earlier and either accepted or withdrew apps, etc?

Well, earlier they deferred some really high numbers that should have been at least pt auto-admits, so I have no idea what to expect. But yes, def as splitter/urm/non-trad batch. And at least an interview to start.
Guess we'll just have a day or four of no idea

Well, that seems to be exactly the mold of this round - PT, splitters, etc.brose002 wrote:Just went DR today as well. I am very nervous. I applied PT and im a high LSAT splitter.
Maybe they are dumping a bunch of high LSAT PT splitters like you and me, but remains to be seen...

Here's hoping they don't, but it is definitely something that I would expect. Im hoping that it is largely a list of waitlists with some acceptances and rejections sprinkled in.ruleser wrote:Well, that seems to be exactly the mold of this round - PT, splitters, etc.brose002 wrote:Just went DR today as well. ok so we now know we're likely getting a mixed batch, yet to be determined what ratio is. On LSN one person claims to have gotten their decision today and to be accepted http://lawschoolnumbers.com/gephillipsbrose002 wrote:Here's hoping they don't, but it is definitely something that I would expect. how's that even possible when they don't send out e-mail acceptances?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
it only makes sense, really. GULC has one of the biggest classes out of the T14, and it's the most popular school on LSN. It probably receives the most applications out of the T14 because of the FT/PT programs. Also, because of it's borderline status in the T14 you have lots of people who use it as a safety and many who use it as a decent reach.managamy wrote:I find it curious that this thread leads the entire Forum in total posts. Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
Question for anyone who's been accepted who applied ft/pt (both) - did your status checker stay at "both" when it went decision rendered, or did it change to the program that you were accepted into?
