Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
Out of curiosity, are you guys all FT applicants?
I'm a part-timer. Got low numbers (3.3, 165) but good softs. And I live and work about two blocks from the school. Hopefully that will help. It makes SO much sense for me to go to GT.

Is there anyone with DR:3/24 that has received a rejection/waitlist email since yesterday? And is there anyone in this category who has been able to successfully log into the admitted students website or request log-in info? I'M SERIOUSLY STARTING TO PULL MY HAIR OUT!

Holy potatoes I'm finally UR (again... but for the first time since Feb LSAT made it go back to 'complete')! Here's hoping for a speedy decision.

I heard if you try enough to log onto the admitted students page they'll reverse your rejection/waitlist into a straight up admittance due to profound interest in GT

Dupont Circle has an awesome night life. I like that area a lot. Foggy bottom is good too, but less exciting - probably less expensive too though.sibley wrote:foggy bottom and dupont circle seem like places I would consider living.chutzpah wrote:Its probably a solid 3 or 4 miles. Also there is no metro stop in Georgetown because the residents wanted to keep the riffraff out, or at least that's how the story goes. Saying you want to live in dupont circle is like saying you want to live in Soho....
Edit: of course financial considerations do not apply to everybody

1/12 was my first and only UR. Wonder what this all means for me. I know I'm a long shot (PT 163 4.0), so I dunno.sibley wrote:you did? did you even go UR since like... 1/12???savesthedayajb wrote:Made in onto the "special group on our Preferred Waiting List"!!! doesn't sound like such a long shot if you got the special preferred group =)
I just got done explaining to a gtown prof exactly what that was and why it was so ideal.

don't be silly, google's instant. it's faster than you could hand a letter to yourself. it's faster than you can think. and you think super duper fast.SaintClarence27 wrote:Great. also I'd just like to point out that the longer it takes for us to get an email, the better. as in, never is ideal.

because the PT program is smaller they may be more sensitive about overenrolling and want to see what their yield is like. sounds promising though!savesthedayajb wrote:1/12 was my first and only UR. I asked Kim earlier. she said acceptance is snail mail, reject and WL are email.SaintClarence27 wrote:I agree. I think. I still am not sure about the snail mail vs. email and what that means for my chances thing.sibley wrote:

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
So are all just sitting here waiting to make sure we DON'T get sent emails from GT and banking on acceptance letters, because I thought the general consensus was that we are all WL people? I feel like email isn't normally a two day process, so what exactly are all us DR 3/24 people waiting for at this point?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
saint c, kim's a girl who got in already... she's cool and is my go-to person for all questions =) she's the one who's at the gtown admitted students thing right now.
we can't really make sure we don't get emails... we're just thinking that we should be happy to wait since basically it takes longer to get snailmail than email, even if they don't send either until next week. but I think we expect WL. Acceptance would have us freaking out.... rejection would have us feeling a lot of dejection.... right?
you're right, email isn't normally a two day process.... and it seems that the rejected people were informed immediately. but no one has been told about WL yet (at least that has posted on this thread), and I think throughout the cycle it's taken them a few days to send out emails. Maybe they have to decide priority v. other waitlists at this point?dissonantdemon wrote:So are all just sitting here waiting to make sure we DON'T get sent emails from GT and banking on acceptance letters, because I thought the general consensus was that we are all WL people?
