I have been "file complete" since early Dec. Now I applied to the FT and PT programs. However, 4/1 is 7 days away and I need to send in my seat deposit to my 2nd choice if I don't hear from IU-I.

For those of you who got scholarship offers, what is the requirement for renewing it? My out of state offer is maintaining a 3.30 average, which according to their posted rankings is in the top 25%. I was just curious if it was the same for everyone because I saw on another board that someone only needed a 3.0

My offer is the same. I am debating whether or not to withdraw my application. That requirment is a bit rough, considering most of the other offers I have received are for either top 50% or just to remain in good standing.

"Your Award is renewable for a maximum of 3 years (6 consecutive semesters) if you maintain a miminum cumulative law school grade point average of 3.400 and continue to be classified as a non-resident of Indiana." - That's what I got for 22k a year. I think that is a little too high.

I haven't yet heard anything about any merit based aid and keep being told decisions have not been made or that they are waiting on additional funding. I can't justify sending in a seat deposit (via a gentle reminder) before knowing what my financial options are. I'll be withdrawing as well if I have to make a decision before knowing what my options are. Shame too as I was really interested in IU-Indy.

If you're really interested you could pay the refundable 1st seat deposit and then if you haven't heard anything by May 1st you could request your refund.

My status checker just changed to "Decision Letter Sent" but my seat deposit info has not changed (still nothing listed) does this mean I was rejected or does this not mean anything either way?

Mine just changed as well, but the seat dep amount changed as well, so it may not be good news for you. :(

I called today before I make a final decision on a seat deposit to ask if all merit aid has been allocated or not. The answer I got:

"All merit aid has been allocated. It is possible that, if someone who was granted merit aid declines a seat deposit, a person who has yet to receive an award decision may be granted one sometime during this month."

I'm done waiting for them, and I'm moving on with my life. I got into Case with a 10k scholarship anyway.

Not a word from these people. I went ahead and sent in my deposit for DePaul. I prob will be withdrawing from IU Indy. However, it would be awesome to get an acceptance and then turn around and tell them to go screw themselves.
