I counted once, I was somewhere between 50 to 60 days; just under two months.

+1 (also 1/29 -> 2/8). If we're a group, I feel for you. I expect a rejection.

Haha, I was gonna say the same thing to anyone who responded.

maggiebre, how do you know they don't average? Their website says: "All available LSAT scores are noted by the Admissions Committee and are part of the application evaluation. If there are circumstances that you believe affected your performance on a prior test, we encourage you to provide a supplemental essay with your application explaining those circumstances. The Admissions Committee will consider such information and may, at its discretion, evaluate your application based on the higher or highest LSAT score." Is this just based on what people have historically said on here because of the LSAT scores that end up being admitted?

They don't average. Anecdotal evidence.

This happened to me (updated from sometime in mid-January), but I didn't look at my status checker until today.

How long does it take to go complete at Penn? I've been at Application Received and Processing since 1/15.

I was Acknowledged 12/7, Complete 1/5, UCR 2/4. I need advice ~ I'm undergrad 165, 3.9 at a t20 undergrad, pretty good softs (in at BC, waitlisted UVA) .. my boyfriend and I are trying to plan around each other for law school.. he's 174, 3.65 same t20 undergrad. I haven't really been following this thread, so what are my chances at getting into UPenn, do you think? If they're high, since the deadline is coming up he will try and apply (he has a fee waiver but doesn't want to write an extra essay).. and probably get in.. but if they're low, he probably won't bother and it's zero sum. Any thoughts appreciated.

I don't think anyone here can give you a better idea of your odds of getting in than you already have. You're borderline. I also don't think the odds of you getting in should really affect whether or not he applies. If he would consider going to Penn under any circumstances, like for example if you got in, then he should apply (it will cost him $12 and 1 hour of time writing an essay). If not, then he shouldn't.

I went Under Committee Review on 2/5. How long does it seem to be taking?

there hasn't been any real rhyme or reason to UCR dates thusfar.

I got my hold a couple of Fridays ago. End of the day too. I quit paying attention since, though.

I vouch to withdraw if I get held...thats the last thing I'll be amenable to after 3 months waiting

It wasn't so bad a month ago, but now I'm just getting sick of the holds. Next time it happens I probably will withdraw (no I won't).

During my call, the admission rep told me that they like to give people good weekends by accepting them on Friday.

By that same logic is it their intent to punish the people they don't like by rejecting them on Friday?

Pretty sure I remember learning in psych class that people are statistically less likely to do something drastic (like commit suicide or toss a fax machine or two out the window) in response to bad news if it's delivered on a Friday. No idea if that's Penn's rationale, but I know that several large companies/corporations try to give out pink slips on Fridays rather than earlier in the week.

lol...if any school uses psych in admissions I think it'd be Penn. UCR 2/5 by the way. Submitted 12/18, complete 1/6ish. Long shot with my numbers though.
