Hold = YP
Comeon you guys, it is obvious. Write some good Penn-specific stuff and get it in there!

Re: U Penn 2010
Haha looking back at my submitted application I can see why I was held. The supplemental essay I sent in was most assuredly not my final draft and was full of mistakes. Ouch. At least they are giving me the opportunity to send them something better to prove I didn't pay a 4th grader to write it for me. I should include candy to make up for my mistake.
As far as the hold=YP theory goes; I wish my 169 3.9 could be considere YP worthy. I found the real flaw in my application. Thank you Penn for not flat out rejecting me because of it.

Just checked - denied via status checker. 3 in one week so far. Fun. Not surprised, though.

How quickly can a good LOCI get someone off the waitlist at Penn? I'm serious about them - 3.6 173, Top 10 Undergrad. I hope I can get off the WL, but cannot wait until May or June (have to know where I'm going by then, due to external factors)

I was wondering the same thing (except for a person on hold). If we are impressed by a speedy turn-around from a law school, might a law school be impressed by the same quickness on our part? Trying having something sent to them by the end of the week and see if they notice. That is if you can put together something you can be proud of in that time period. My plan is to send them an essay tomorrow, and I hope that they take that as a sincere gesture of my dedication. I don't have much hope at this point, so I have to rely on gimmicks to get me in lol.

I had a few extra LORs on LSAC, so I sent them an extra one today. We'll see if that does anything, but probably not.

How the hell have I not heard anything?
I was assuming auto-reject, yet I've been UCR for over a month.

Also out via status checker, updated within the last 3-4 hours. No email.
I wasn't counting on Penn too much, so whatever, but the first one always stings I guess.

Aslo anyone know if updated grade people got in last year?
Call and ask Penn, but I dont think there is anything you can do but wait 3 weeks to send it to them? Maybe directly send them a copy with the old grade now, and send a copy to LSAC once the grade is updated?

Re: U Penn 2010
Just checking this thread for the first time. I've been at "Complete" since 12/5, and I emailed them to hold my application until my December LSAT scores arrived. Does Penn do an "Under Review" like other schools?

I think you find out if you are in via status checker and phone call. The call coming first. I would imagine international may not get a call but the status checker will eventually say something indicative.
