I went to a well-known Philly-area public school, too, but I don't know how that'd be a better indicator than your PS. Seems weird.maggiebre wrote:That's really interesting and, if true, was to my advantage - I went to a top public school in the Philly area.shadowfrost000 wrote:I'd be interested in finding out if this is actually true, because my high school is ballin'. And on another note - I think these rejections/deferrals are evidence of Penn's clear desire to move up in the rankings.

I wouldn't think so either... I could see a "good" high school being seen as a pro for some people, but not as a negative for those who went to sub-par schools (especially if they have a good PS).The Kim Jong illest wrote:I went to a well-known Philly-area public school, too, but I don't know how that'd be a better indicator than your PS. My first rejection.
Here's hoping Cornell or Georgetown comes through or I am screwed.

Nearly had a heart attack when I saw Penn started doling out rejections. I'm still UCR even though I went complete, and presumably UCR, before some of the people who have been rejected.
