Holy crap!!!!! Just got the call. I'm in, though I don't think I can really believe it until I get the letter. Went complete around the first week of Nov., UCR 11/20 and 12/16. Sure took the sting out of the Vandy waitlist I got in the mail today.

I got a 215 call today but wasn't able to receive it or return it. Do phone calls usually mean acceptances with Penn? I was UCR 11/20 and 12/17, FWIW.

With your success, I would consider a career in helping get people into law school rather than spending three years killing yourself for an equally intense career. Think about it... how many rich families would pay the "Admissions Guru" (we will work on that later) to help their kids get into x school. You should apply to all top 100 schools and bat 1000. I bet you would make ridiculous money.

My cell phone sometimes doesn't ring in my house, so the voicemail showed up around 3pm PT. I listened to it, saved it, and then listened to it again just to make sure he actually said Penn Law.

Just got a waitlist email. 161 and 171 LSAT scores, 3.75 GPA, and what I thought were decent softs (started a non profit, lots of volunteering, student government). Very bummed.

I know Penn is notorious for YPing, but this is *not* a YP, correct?

There was no voicemail on my phone and no update on my status checker.

I would be really surprised about a Penn acceptance because I thought that they YP'ed extensively. Perhaps they called concerning an ordinary question with my application.

Status updated to 1/12 from 12/24 (I guess the holiday spirit didn't overcome the perception of the need for another read). Still UCR. Atleast they are still reviewing applicants while they are making all these good calls (and bad emails). Congrats to those who got their number called today.

UPDATE: While writing this post, I got an email saying I was held. Better than W/L?

Just got the e-mail that I'm WL. I actually kind of forgot that I even applied to Penn. Definitely going to withdraw. If my spot was high on the list (which it probably wasn't), good luck to whoever gets it.

In the voicemail I got, they said that the decision was just made today, that their offices were now closed, and that it would take a couple of days to reflect the acceptance online.
