All plus pending. It's the same price either way.

Yup that was my strategy. I just hope it wasn't my Need Access form that caused me to be waitlisted at Chicago (it wasn't).

Or was it...

UCLA now has almost the exact same LRAP as Georgetown. So does UC Berkeley.
http://www.law.ucla.edu/home/index.asp?page=3302

If I'm reading the LRAPs correctly (and there is a really good chance I'm not) then UCLA has a "soft-cap" of $55,000 at which point there is a 35% contribution rate up to $80,000. From what I can tell GULC's "soft-cap" is at $75,000. What am I reading wrong?

That's how I read them.

So another thing I just noticed. According to the link the maximum interest rate that UCLA LRAP covers is 8.25% but the Grad PLUS loans are set at 8.5%.....wtf? :?

Sure did, and wow I <3 UCLA.

I got one too. I expected they would say I'm not needy enough... so hurrah!

(And after last week's scholarship email debacle, I was extremely confused to see an email from Karman Hsu titled "UCLA Grant Award" in my inbox...)

Yeah, these emails were for the Need Access Grant which is a separate form, much like the FAFSA (but much more annoying). There's info about it in the admit packet.

WL'ed with my 176. Perhaps the 3.0 had something to do with it...

Blah, sorry, I actually have a 3.7/171- I mistyped my GPA earlier. I don't think I was careful or enthusiastic enough while putting together my UCLA application, and it seems like it showed. No hard feelings, UCLA . Best of luck for everyone still waiting!

LSN supports the high GPA idea (also, 170+ LSAT is pretty golden). I've heard that they really like in-state students, too.

And go bears :D

My GPA isn't rockin', to be honest (3.5xx). Non-URM, in-state though. LSAT around median. I know with near-certainty that it came down to the essays I wrote.

Good luck to everyone. Hold out hope!

Any other October people still waiting??? I really don't care the decision anymore, but I do feel entitled to some kind of response after over 15 weeks of silence.

I almost want to call and tell them that I wouldn't be heartbroken by a rejection. Maybe that would speed things up.

How much have those who received need-based grant awards receive? Ballpark range.
