Don't feel sorry, I was going to withdraw from them anyway now that I have something in the T10 lined up. Hope I cleared a spot on the WL for somebody who really wants it.Veritas wrote:sry to hear helm. The title was "UCLA Law Decision" and the message went something like, "While we're not offering you a spot at this time, you are a very strong candidate who we bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit, etc."

Re: UCLA?
Hearing that Helm has been WL at UCLA made me reach an interesting realization: A good LSAT is a double edged sword. It may get you rejected or waitlisted at as many - if not more - schools than it gets you into. Obviously, it's not necessarily bad to be wielding this sword, but just saying.

Yeah, I think it was specifically mentioned in the WL e-mail that some people won't get off until the first day of classes or so. No thankayoo.msch0i wrote:I was reading the UCLA waitlist thread from last year...and some people didn't even get a response up until late August. Then the thread died. So did my heart. Unsure about my optimism/pessimism ratio, but Really Pissed About Not Hearing Back Yet. Not that I'm feeling entitled to a quick decision, but it's certainly frustrating when other people with or below my numbers AND who submitted later have already gotten a decision. I didn't even want them that badly until it became apparent that they're not dying to have meSlansky wrote:I'm not!imisscollege wrote:so what about those of us who have been RD and nothing since October? are we optimistic or not

The way an application is put together can communicate such sentiments. Just saying.parker09 wrote:Unsure about my optimism/pessimism ratio, but Really Pissed About Not Hearing Back Yet. Oh, you mean when I ended my PS with "And that's why I feel mediocre about UCLA, which is not at the top of my list," it could have been taken badly by the adcom? Well, crap.Hopefullawstudent wrote:

Meh, I submitted in late October and have numbers above both 75ths (but not too high!) and haven't heard a peep. LSN's in profile if you want to check it out for a little hope.imisscollege wrote:so what about those of us who have been RD and nothing since October? are we optimistic or not
