Re: UCLA?
Okay, I saw people on lsn with numbers less than mine getting money from UCLA...they didn't give me any! WTF? I'm kinda pissed now.

Re: UCLA?
Holy shit! You mean they might make scholarship decisions not based solely on numbers?!?!? Fuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!Apple Tree wrote:Okay, I saw people on lsn with numbers less than mine getting money from UCLA...they didn't give me any! WTF? I'm kinda pissed now.

Would it be rude to ask them about scholarships?

Re: UCLA?
I really like UCLA, but I go to a UC school for undergrad right now so I'm thinking about trying out a different experience. I don't think I'll know anything definitive until the end of my cycle. UCLA is great and I grew up in the area though so I have really strong local ties. For today, I'm just going to relish in having an amazing opportunity to stay in southern Cal. I'm really hoping that Dean Schwartz will have time to call of you guys by today's end!

Re: UCLA?
A) Like others have pointed out, it's not a pure numbers game.Apple Tree wrote:Okay, I saw people on lsn with numbers less than mine getting money from UCLA...they didn't give me any! WTF? I'm kinda pissed now.
B) I'm not sure what you mean by "people." "A person" would be more accurate since there is only one non-URM on LSN with worse numbers than you (barely) w/ $$ and he's been out of school for 3-4 years so probably has decent WE/softs.
I'm not saying don't try to negotiate (doesn't seem like you have much to lose since you're already accepted), but I don't think one person on LSN getting money necessarily means that you have scholarship numbers.

Re: UCLA?
Um, there aren't that many people with less than a 168 admitted yet. Not sure who all these people you are referring to are. LSAT scores are the rarer commodity and consequently what schools are more willing to pay for.Apple Tree wrote:Okay, I saw people on lsn with numbers less than mine getting money from UCLA...they didn't give me any! Re: UCLA?
"WL -> acceptance"s at UCLA are very rare (only three of them on LSN last year; all of them with around your GPA, but 2-5 points higher on the LSAT). Not saying it's impossible, but it's probably best not to get your hopes up.hellogoodbye1 wrote:i just got waitlisted

At least there's always retaking the LSAT and the chance of bumping oneself off the WL.Helmholtz wrote:"WL -> acceptance"s at UCLA are very rare (only three of them on LSN last year; all of them with around your GPA, but 2-5 points higher on the LSAT).
