I'm begining to feel as if all of us who haven't received a decision are rejects.

IDK if some rejections went out today and we weren't part of them, we still have a chance. Keep your head up! I'm sure all of us have other great options even if Bill and Mar don't accept us.mcashia wrote:I'm begining to feel as if all of us who haven't received a decision are rejects.

Not looking to make anyone lose hope but I was also rejected today via e-mail. Good luck to everyone else.

Judging from last year, all the DP's are toast once the rejections start going out...including myself

I'm still skeptical. This would be my only YP rejection. And seeing as I haven't been YP'ed anywhere, I like to think that it won't happen at all. Still holding out hope.braudelaire wrote:Judging from last year, all the DP's are toast once the rejections start going out...including myself

This is odd because they responded to me within 10 days. W&M and Emory were far and away the fastest to respond of all of my apps.

I guess the game isn't over yet.
It'll be nice to have everything done.

I don't believe in YP, esp. from W&M. Some schools just feel funny about certain people. It's happened to me, and everyone else, and it's not YP.dakatz wrote:I'm still skeptical. It would be the first so far for me. I guess I could count Fordham, seeing as all their peer schools accepted me and with great scholarship offers, but Fordham seems to be waitlisting anyone and everyone this year, so I don't think its just me. Very curious to find out about W&M.robin600 wrote:Dude read the past 70 some pages....Pumpkin McPastry wrote:This is odd because they responded to me within 10 days. Yield Protecting. Not accepting someone or wait listing someone based on too high of numbers for their school to protect their acceptances coming in rate.mcashia wrote:what does YP mean?

Re: William & Mary
When a school rejects or waitlists someone who they think will be accepted to far better schools, and will clearly end up going to one of those schools. They do this in order to increase their selectivity, without cutting into the applicant pool that they see as realistic candidates to come to the school.mcashia wrote:what does YP mean?

Has anyone been accepted today, or are they just now begining to write the reject letters?

Re: William & Mary
Small sigh of relief that I made it past the first wave of cuts (sorry to those who didn't -- I've definitely been there with other schools) but I have a sneaking suspicion this was just to lull me into a false sense of security.

Per the W&M status checker website:
"In the William & Mary Law School admission process, initial review occurs as files become complete. The majority of decisions will be finalized during the month of March following the application deadline date when the competition in the applicant pool is known and assessed. We anticipate decisions for all applicants will be sent no later than March 24. Applicants will receive earlier notification if a decision has been finalized."
At least we only have to wait until Wednesday. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Just got a waitlist e-mail from W&M, like 10 seconds ago. Relieved to have avoided the ding.
