My status says:
Current Status: Application Ready for Review
Current Status Date: 1/22/2010
Decision Status: Decision Pending
Decision Status Date: 1/28/2010
W&M is definitely a reach school for me (165/3.1). So I am not surprised to not have received a decision yet considering their admission review style. I feel the ding coming in March.

Congrats! Sounds like you are in. I'd ignore the weird dates.84Sunbird2000 wrote:I just got the strangest email. I checked my status checker to make sure.

This most likely means that you were mistakenly registered in their internal database as an admit, but subsequently that mistake was corrected. Your status checker should update soon to include only the 2/11 entry.84Sunbird2000 wrote:I just got the strangest email. I checked my status checker to make sure.

It's definitely my top choice for multiple reasons, but it is a reach for me.I was wondering how many of us are looking at W&M as a top pick school as opposed to a safety or "what the hell, why not apply and see what happens but I really don't see myself going there school".
It is at the top of my list

I hate to disappoint but it looks like W&M gave fee waivers to everyone who scored 160 and up. I say that not to discourage you, but just to let you know that I don't think a fee waiver from W&M means your chances are better than average.sufjan wrote:for me it's a reach school, though my wife and i are planning to go elsewhere2010law wrote:I was wondering how many of us are looking at W&M as a top pick school as opposed to a safety or "what the hell, why not apply and see what happens but I really don't see myself going there school".

Re: William & Mary
never mind then. I know several people with a wide range of scores in 60s and 70s who got one, and (wrongly) assumed everyone got one. Maybe it had something to do with geography? Sorry to get the thread off topic. Back to celebrating and/or freaking about about getting into William & Mary.savagecheater wrote:significantly over 160 and no fee waiverhunkydory wrote:I hate to disappoint but it looks like W&M gave fee waivers to everyone who scored 160 and up. Re: William & Mary
So today I checked my mail and got super excited after seeing something from W&M. It turned out to be an admissions brochure, postmarked 1/28 which is after my application status went complete... Stop teasing me W&M!!

Still holding strong at decision pending. I really thought my numbers were really strong for W&M (but not strong enough for YP). Why don't they like me?
Also, congrats to everyone who just got in!!!

So have any of the people who came off DP heard anything further? Am I right that there have only been two such people in this thread?

Didn't go back through this thread to look, sorry if it's come up...
Anyone know when W&M ASW is, and whether they provide any reimbursement?

It is March 26 & 27. I emailed about travel assistance but haven't heard anything back yet.

I emailed them and they said they don't assist with any travel costs. I think they offer to let you stay with a student, though.tyjole wrote:kp009 wrote:Didn't go back through this thread to look, sorry if it's come up...

I initially chose w&m as a "why not/let's hope they accept me" school. Now I will most likely withdraw after they reach a decision.

Just got in earlier this week, although I was surprised that the only mailed item was a letter basically saying "congrats you got in". Is this all they send admitted students or is there a bigger package on its way?

In via snail-mail yesterday, annual scholly.
Still waiting on BC, BU, ND, and UVA (ha!), but it's getting awfully hard for me to look past that instate tuition in Williamsburg.
Good luck to everyone!
