W&M would be my top pick of the schools that have accepted me so far if I could just get a little more money from them.

Congrats to all who got in! I went DP today.

Has William and Mary rejected anyone yet? I know they make most decisions in March, but there have to be some apps which are auto-reject. It seems cruel to make those people wait months to hear something. I ask because I am likely an auto-reject

As far as this thread is concerned, no one has been rejected.

In regards to the people that went off of decision pending this week, has anything other than that "Review Complete" on the status changed for you?

I went off of DP, but nothing other than that.

Dumb question, but how the hell do you go about negotiating a scholarship, especially if you have other offers elsewhere that you'd like to use as leverage?

How do you know they are in? Also, I have "Review Complete" and no blank line in the mailing list, does that mean the same thing?

Update: Received acceptance letter via FedEx yesterday! $15K/YR renewable scholarship. Also, I am in-state, so this makes things interesting! Good luck to all!

Tried via email to negotiate my fellowship offer up, the Dean was really nice, but said as of now no. However, if you have an offer from W&L or something like that...it might be a different story.

I was thinking of doing this, I do have a $34K/yr offer from W&L...do you think there would be any chance? I do think I like W&M slightly more than W&L, but not for the difference between $17200 and $34000 scholarship per year.

I hope this doesn't add to the frustration--- I really hope it helps take some of the stress off some people

I applied 1/18/10- was complete within a few days and received an acceptance on 2/7/10 via a 8 1/2 by 11 usps priority mail envelope.

Application is Complete/Ready for Review 01/27/2010
Application Has Been Received 01/19/2010

I called the school to see if there was some kind of error and was told (and I quote) "nope, you're in...
the status checker will change at some point"
I am only giving this info so that the status of the online info doesn't drive anyone crazy.

So maybe my decision pending is really a mistake and they just sent my acceptance giving me a full ride? It's also possible that I have an overactive imagination...

for me it's a reach school, though my wife and i are planning to go elsewhere

still haven't heard from W&M though..which is curious because i received a fee waiver to apply
