Assume nothing, I went from app ready for review, under review, to decision pending to review complete, to congrats. Good Luck. I hate sounding like a douche, but I know I do when I say this, but its out of your control at this point, the only thing you can do is get drunk and pray, and I know its easy for me to say, but I couldn't handle it any other way.
Anyway, you give us hope... I can "optimistically" hope...

Hey, BTW, how long does it take for you to get a review complete from decision pending?

No one knows. I've been at it for almost a month now.

Application was received on 11/30.
Application ready for review on 12/3.

Today:
Decision Status: Decision Pending
Decision Status Date: 12/8/2009

Pretty sure this means that they looked at it already, but are not accepting me at this time. *shudder*

I'm at decision pending too but my numbers are 3.54, 172. Unless I really screwed something up on their application I wouldn't expect to be rejected, so who knows?

That seems to be the consensus. Nobody on this board (so far) has had a move off of "Decision Pending". I've been there since 11/8. I think the consensus is that if they really, really liked you, you got selected early. The rest of us wait in a pool until they can assess the bulk of their applications to see where we stand. To be at "Decision Pending" now is not great, but not necessarily bad. We just don't know yet.

This sounds like a yield protect. They think that you are using them as a safety and they don't want to extend an offer to you and then you reject it.

Im just pretty sure they have stop doing acceptances at this point and therefore everyone is decision pending simply because there is no movement on their front.....we need to stop over analyzing this and let it take this course and not freak out because they slowed down their admissions process. Washington and Lee did the same thing

It seems like the people getting acceptances right now are pretty strong both LSAT and gpa-wise. Not sure what to make of the 172/3.5 guy, though. Maybe slightly too strong for an early admit? Have any splitters been admitted yet this year? My status hasn't changed since I went "complete" 12/02...

EDIT: For poor manners. Congrats to everyone being accepted! Glad at least some nerves are being eased! :)

Hey all!

Just stopping in with a little encouragement here -- just got my "congratulations" on the status checker! I'm in with a GPA above 75%, but an LSAT between 25% and the median -- so don't give up hope just yet!

Good luck everyone!!! :) :)

Ditto, I'm an extreme outlier for LSAT/GPA and I made it in so good luck to rest

Thanks! To be honest, I have no idea what my first choice is at this point. Other than a unique interest in W&L (different story for a different day...not to mention I have not been accepted yet) my decision is completely up in the air. I did not apply to schools that I could not see myself attending, so for now I will simply celebrate being 2 for 2 and try (though probably unsuccessfully) not to stress out about making decisions. GL everyone!

Submitted app today. I'm right at median LSAT and just below media GPA so i wouldn't be surprised w/ an accept, deny, or WL.

...good luck all!

No, read the last couple of pages. There have been a few who have been accepted after getting decision pending.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
