Give it time... The application deadline isn't until tomorrow, and then all those accepted have at least a month to reply. Waitlists are used in case the class won't fill up completely, and they probably won't know that until the deposit deadline.neutral33 wrote:Has anyone been accepted off the waitlist yet? Glad you had such a positive experience. Did you feel the students to be collegial? Were the facilities impressive?bklyngreenlp wrote:I just visited and left with a favorable impression of the school and city. I attended a Civil Procedure course, met with financial aid and administration, and chatted with a current student. I also walked around the rest of the campus and went into a few other non-law buildings. I was excited to see how incredibly diverse the student body was in the class I visited, as well as with the people hanging around Klein and Barrack. The class was interesting to observe, but it’s like any academic environment in how well students prepare. She called on at least 10 students during the session regarding two cases they were to review. The professor also made a point during the class to provide an opportunity for students having trouble comprehending specific concepts to ask questions. Most of the students were very engaged, but I also think many were expecting a snow day due to the blizzard. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I could see myself there next fall.
Somebody asked on this thread about the bookstore. The law school’s bookstore is not in the student center/main campus bookstore. It’s located at the Barnes & Noble at Broad/Cecil B. Moore.
Thanks, BKG! I hope you feel better.bklyngreenlp wrote:Spacedawg -- sorry for the delayed response. I've been incredibly ill all week with a severe case of bronchitis.
In observing the class, it appeared that the students were all very friendly and supportive. There were clearly some outstanding students in the class, but there weren't any obvious gunners during that particular session. It's what I expected of Temple.
I've only visited three law schools so far, so my perspective is limited. Temple's law facilities have been the nicest of the three (the other two are NYC-based schools). I'm pretty certain Klein (the main building) has undergone a major renovation recently, as it's impressive. I can't check from this computer, but Temple Law's web site has a video tour on it, "A Day in the Life," or something of that nature. It provides a glimpse of what the facilities look like for those who cannot visit.
This is going to be a very difficult decision.
I will be there. Either by myself or with my girlfriendchangeitup wrote:Is anyone going to the open house on the 20th? Also, is anyone bringing parents along? Unfortunately I won't be able to go, but I'm going to go to the one on 4/5.changeitup wrote:Is anyone going to the open house on the 20th? Also, is anyone bringing parents along? Haha that's exactly what I was thinking. We're not really that close and I just kinda think it would just be weird and kinda awkward to have them there.SpaceDawg wrote:Unfortunately I won't be able to go, but I'm going to go to the one on 4/5.changeitup wrote:Is anyone going to the open house on the 20th? I don't have any advice on bringing your parents because I don't know how close you are. I just know I would not.

I haven't decided yet and am actually pretty torn between Temple and W&L. I'm glad the classes in April are real. I would like to see how students actually interact with the professor. How about you?changeitup wrote:Haha that's exactly what I was thinking. Are you definitely going to Temple? I think I'm also going to one of the visit days in April, but only to sit in on an actual class since the one on the 20th is a mock class.

wrong school thread. my b.UGHilbert wrote:Above post is crazy. I was complete from 1/27 until 2/23 when I became.... complete again, but with an updated date. Hopefully this means there's some action in the near future.
I'm about 90% sure that i am. Except I'm still waiting to hear from Villanova which could definitely change things. Yeah, I'm definitely excited to sit in on a class and see the dynamics.SpaceDawg wrote:I haven't decided yet and am actually pretty torn between Temple and W&L.
