So I guess those of us who applied RD will be hearing back in January? It looks like last year the RD decisions started coming out around jan. 10th...

tram988 wrote:Youre a good man killuminati. Thats exactly what it is going to come down to for me if I'm accepted at BU-- $$$$. For me, having lived in downtown Boston, both have an amazing reputation in this city. If you don't like the fact that BC is located in the suburbs, as some have said, then dont live there. I lived in the financial district on Tremont Street directly across from the Boston Common and it takes about 30 min on the T to arrive at BC. Granted, this may be a little too deep into the city for some-- but regardless, you can have the best of both worlds!

wow nice bit of information there. Yeah I've been doing so much research on schools, my brain hurts. Good to have a Bostonian perspective on this, really appreciate it. But for the record, Tram I want you at BU, seriously I hope you get in. Yeah I'm surprised/impressed/nervous about BC's holistic approach, I definitely commend them for it but at the same time wondering if they'll be able to move their medians by taking this approach. I would love for BC to finally get into the Top 20 so that I can attend, BC is just a lot of fun in general from what I hear.

Nice job...didn't a few 3.5/165's get rejected not even placed on hold today. Boy am I nervous...we are numbers twins but my LSAT is a few points higher than yours. Congratulations powerpro and happy birthday buddy =)

Haha thanks a lot. $$$ would be outstanding because we all know the COL in Boston is high. We both got into UF and are in-state, so our total costs there would be ~250k (including my 30k scholly), whereas Boston for the 2 of us would probably be ~450-500k.

man...BC what's going on...don't you want a strong class to move up the rankings? Finally get past the hump of #22? WTH, do you really not have any faith in your own law school to attract a 177/2.95 splitter or did you really not want to move your LSAT median and retain your gpa median? I don't get it, ahhhh mail is coming in 2 hours...should know by today...

sorry to hear that but I'm pretty sure they knew you'd get into a better school, seriously you're T14 with that LSAT score. It would suck if for some reason you wanted to bypass the elite schools and go to BC...with a scholarship! But how about we make a deal? We switch applications...I take your 177/2.95 to a T14 school and you can have my BU and Wustl acceptances!!!

It was all a haze of words and sentences, but I think it was something like that.

Tempting, but I'll hold onto it for now. It wouldn't sting quite as much if I actually had a T14 acceptance in the bag.

...one of these days.

YP

With your impressive score they're probably convinced you'll end up at NYU and leave them in the dust......

Good luck with your NYU ED application.

I didn't ED @ NYU, but maybe I'll see you there.

I'm just about to journey out to my mailbox.

I'll be pretty ticked if I'm not able to resolve the BC paradox question today.

Welllllll, I'm not ED there anymore. Got a letter deferring me to the regular admissions cycle in the mail today, too. I'm actually taking that as a good sign, not to get flat-out rejected with a sub-3 GPA. If I see you there in the fall I will give you the highest of fives.
