I just like how they are so direct and to-the-point. :)

oh those look good.

Maybe I'll choose my law schools based on the sweatshirt option

Keeping my fingers crossed...I know this is stupid but I need an acceptance & $$$ from BC. BU is higher on my list for personal reasons but I would take BC in a heartbeat if they threw me some cash....BU is starting to look like they don't want to share their boatloads of cash with me....=( Come on BC!!!

what is up with all these rejections and holds of people above BC numbers. YP? Or is this why BC has never ranked higher than 22nd in the past 10 years and BU skyrocketed up to 19 at one point. ugh...hopefully if I do end up going to BC we can have a competitive class that can rise in the rankings...but if this trend continues...no way am I stuck at a school not looking to move up in the rankings. Not wasting 200k, so I can be without a firm job during my 3L summer.

haha come on man. To be fair, BU has only recently passed BC. They take a very holistic approach. This is only the beginning of the cycle for them.

Held. 165 LSAT, gpa well above the 75th%. Not really set on pursuing it.
Former applicants have also observed that Boston College places applicants on its waitlist liberally, and thus, it may be imperative for applicants to show continued interest in the school to maximize their chances of being accepted off of the waitlist. Because the school’s office of admissions takes pride in giving each application a thorough and personal consideration, applicants should ensure that their personal statement is orientated towards Boston College, and not a copy of a generic essay sent out to other law schools.

That's true, but what is inspiring is the fact that they got to #19 at one point. But BC has only gotten to #22...prestige is a factor but $$$ is more important for me. BC is so good in Boston, even the old attorneys in LA know BC but that is an old old generation and they were surprised BU was ranked higher (this is b/c of the fact you were alluding to that BU only recently rose in the rankings). I don't know if these older attorneys will be around, the next generation of attorneys seem to favor BU in LA. Thanks Tram, I will wait it out, I was really bummed not to get any $$$ though from BU...maybe they'll mail it a week later???...but doubt it.

+1 for generic essay....I love BC but obviously not enough to write a specific PS for them.

Youre a good man killuminati. Thats exactly what it is going to come down to for me if I'm accepted at BU-- $$$$. For me, having lived in downtown Boston, both have an amazing reputation in this city. If you don't like the fact that BC is located in the suburbs, as some have said, then dont live there. I lived in the financial district on Tremont Street directly across from the Boston Common and it takes about 30 min on the T to arrive at BC. Granted, this may be a little too deep into the city for some-- but regardless, you can have the best of both worlds!
