In via mail today. Need a lot of money to consider it. Hopefully I'll get some soon.

I'd also be curious if this is the final word for people that haven't heard about separate merit scholarships via email. Part of my package is a grant, but it's pretty small. Happy to give a call on Monday, unless someone else does first.

+1, just got the Stafford loans and have GPA above median and LSAT at 75th so I was counting on some money at least.

Nothing but stafford loans? Thats crap, but I guess we all know that need-based aid is a myth anyway. So when the hell do we hear about merit money? I want to make a decision already, and if BU wows me this Friday, I'm ready to enroll. BC is totally blowing it by not sending this info out already.

Dont know, they might be done, or they might send a bunch out early next week; I dont think anyone can say at this point.

Their refusal to be clear on this is really bothering me. Seems like hardly any people got anything, especially among top applicants on LSN. I highly doubt they are done.

I'm DR 3/16/2010. Is there any way to tell if I've been accepted (accepted students website, etc.) before I get my letter? I'm out of town and it's frustrating knowing my decision is in my mailbox waiting for me.

Nope, no way to tell in advance.

It sounded to me like its not going out all at once, more of an ongoing process...but I would think it'll be out before the deposit deadline

for those of you that have decided on BC: How are you going to find housing for next year, and what neighborhoods are good for BC law students?

I live in Dorchester so I'm going to commute on the Pike.

There is plenty of housing in Allston/Brighton if you want to live in the city or Watertown, Waltham, or Newton if you want to live a little further outside of the city.

As a current UG, thats where I would suggest unless youre interested in the very high rents that are in Newton. Cleveland Circle/ Beacon Street is a nice area where you can find at least somewhat reasonable rents. Just as a word of caution, I wouldnt suggest renting anywhere in the South st., Orkney street, or Radnor street area unless you want to be in what is basically a frat house area. If you want to live on Comm Ave, I would suggest past Chestnut Hill Ave. away from the main campus.

I live in Brighton right now, so I can echo mikcou's suggestions. I'm a little futher down Comm Ave (on the Brighton/Brookline border) where it's far enough away from the school that most of the students aren't your neighbors. It's quiet and safe, and I'm probably going to stay there.

Brookline is a very nice town, but I think the rents are a bit higher than what you'll find in Allston/Brighton between BC and BU. It's also a little more inconvenient if you're going to be taking public transportation to the school (maybe). I really don't feel like there's any HUGE rent disparity between the neighborhoods east of BC, though, so I'd say you have some options.

My status checker has just been updated to Decision Rendered, 3/22. Anyone else have this today?

I'm still waiting on viewing my financial aid award. I accidentally threw out my access key information and had to request another. My award is just sitting there.....Hopefully BC sends me my key today.
