I just scheduled my "official" tour. I also get to sit-in on a full class before it begins...yay!

Well you are definitely doing the right thing by visiting-- it can only help. Try to meet with an admission counselor at some point.

Yeah you don't necessarily need to meet with the dean, just someone who has some power :) Good luck!

+1 I'm hoping for the same when I visit next week. A BC rejection would be really disheartening right after visiting :(

First email today. App Received AND Decision Pending as of 1/29. Apparently, "pending" doesn't mean one should get their hopes up too early.

I am visiting UT during their admitted student day which I'm really bummed about. Anybody know what the deal is if you're admitted and you want them to talk you into it and get the whole deal but you can't make asd? Are there tours offered? 1v1 meetings? Some other kind of reception on a different date?

Befriending the administrative assistants might also be a good idea. My dad (ancient history, I know) was able to talk his way off of a waitlist by doing this. Good luck!

Also, I just checked and I'm decision rendered. Sooooo nervous!!!!

There are plenty of tours with the opportunity to sit-in on a class. You should call BC and ask to meet with an admission counselor as well.

Thanks! My numbers are 166, 3.6x. So, while I think I have a good shot, acceptance is far from a sure thing. It doesn't help that I live on the west coast so the mail is going to take forever.

Just make it an in or out, no more evil waitlists!

How long till we find out? I'm hoping for mail tomorrow, that would be amazing, but I'll try not to get my hopes up.

Good luck everyone!
