BC just sent out an admitted students email (administrative stuff)-- this may "give away" whether some of you who are waiting for the mail have been accepted.

Re: BC Law 2010
Hey guys, I went complete 1/21/10... wondering how long I should expect to wait... is there a norm?
Additionally, I sent them and my other schools an email in regards to my updated record and Ive received responses from all my colleges except this one... do they usually not respond? Or should I send it again?
I only recently requested an updated transcript to be sent to LSAC, which they in turn must send to my schools so I'm worried that this will take super long.
Waiting hurts...

Just received the WL letter via snail mail (166/3.7). I went complete 11/20 and just heard from them. I will probably withdraw.

Re: BC Law 2010
I've been complete and waiting since November, so it might be awhile. I agree though, waiting hurts. I really want to plan a trip to Boston to check out BU, but it seems pointless to do so until I know about BC...sigh.cherryalamode wrote:Hey guys, I went complete 1/21/10... wondering how long I should expect to wait... is there a norm?

Also, I sent all my schools a similar email and BC didn't respond. I assume they got it, so I'm guessing they only reply to direct questions. You can always call and check though, just in case I'm wrong.
Good luck!

So far, all the over-qualified applicants (like us at 75%/75%) have either been accepted or waitlisted. I was looking at the waitlisted candidates to try and figure out why we got shafted while the others got in... All of the waitlists had BU acceptances or BU $$, none of the Acceptances I saw had BU admits.
Are you two in at BU?

I don't think it's totally ridiculous for BU and BC to conspire on admissions. The Ivies conspire on undergraduate admissions so far as possible, as does the California system. It's not amoral as far as I can tell.tram988 wrote:Conspiracy theorist?Cupidity wrote:Hey, I just noticed something on LSN...weigh in on this.AlanShore wrote:167 3.6 +100 on that joint emailCupidity wrote:

It is absolutely ridiculous. Ok so BC waitlists or rejects applicants that have been accepted at BU? Doubt it. You really think BC calls up BU to ask if each individual applicant has been accepted to their school?BenJ wrote:

Just wanted to point out that 166 isnt 75th its median. 75th is 167. Now they still may very well do something with BU, but I would highly doubt it.Cupidity wrote:Hey, I just noticed something on LSN...weigh in on this.AlanShore wrote:167 3.6 +100 on that joint emailCupidity wrote:Dude, 166/3.87, you and I should send BC a joint email reminding them what the hell their medians are.ccourt14 wrote:Just received the WL letter via snail mail (166/3.7). Re: BC Law 2010
Would anyone be willing to shed some light on my chances of admission at BC?
I have a 3.85 UGPA and a (unfortunately) 163 LSAT score. Very strong recs, extra curriculars and a strong PS.
What do you think? Am I an automatic ding?
