They've received everything from me but one LOR that I am waiting on LSAC (GRRRR!!!) to post and send.

BC is a far reach for me GPA-wise (3.23), but my LSAT is very competitive (164).

I'm hoping the 5 years out of school and WE will be enough of a GPA boost, as BC is pretty much tops for me!

Similar numbers: GPA 3.29 LSAT 163

Good luck! :)

Still nothing?

Does anyone know when the first decisions were released last year?

Since BC has decided to ding so many 164s last cycle I can't justify paying $87 to apply when BU waived my fee and they are way more friendly to 164/3.8x applicants.

BC does early action first, then regular... they send out EA decisions ON Dec. 15th, not BY Dec. 15th, so I think there is little to no chance of hearing before then.

Thanks. Good to know when I should start obsessing over hearing/not hearing from BC :D

status just changed to decision pending. Crazy similar stats to above posters 163/3.65, non-trad (blind, hoping that helps a bit too)

They send all of their EA decisions out on December 15th, none before. I don't know if this reduces or increases the waiting anxiety.

My status changed today:

Current Status: Your application has been completed.
Current Status Date: 11/12/2009
Decision Status: Pending Decision
Decision Status Date: 11/5/2009

So....it wasn't complete before?

I love BC, but I think 164s are going to have a tough cycle there. I think it could be the same at BU -- since BC dinged a bunch of 164s last year and bumped its median, won't BU try to follow suit?

Hoping that Dec. retake turns out better...

I don't know what medians you are looking at, but here on the TLS rankings it shows the 25th & 75th as:

BU - 163-166
BC - 162-165

BC's median is up to 166 and almost every 164 on LSN last cycle got dinged....

From BC's Web site:

2009 Entering Class
Number of applicants.............................................................7,166
Enrolled students....................................................................264

Median GPA
25th percentile.......................................................................3.34
75th percentile.......................................................................3.68
Median LSAT
25th percentile........................................................................163
75th percentile........................................................................167

Median LSAT ..........................................................................166

The stats that you've posted are clearly more valuable than the tiny sample that LSN provides.

Many 164s on LSN may have been dinged, but according to the stats, 25% of the 2009 entering class scored a 163 or lower (and surely they're not all URMs or Pulitzer Prize winners).

If you have a 163 or a 164 and a GPA at or above the 75th%, I don't see any reason to feel particularly pessimistic.

Anyone know if they are super-particular about GPA, or are they a school where it becomes less important the further out from undergrad you are?

Well, based on LSN, it looks to me like they'll take sub-3.3, with an LSAT 167+.

Of course as someone pointed out, LSN is a small sample.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
