scholarship offer came in the mail today (I live on the east coast). 18K/year guaranteed over 3 years. The letter said that the whole financial aid package will come soon and that the scholarship had to be accepted in writing by April 15. good luck to everyone still waiting!

I'm also from the bay area, but I'm down in SoCal right now visiting a few schools, including USC. I'm doing a tour day while I'm down here, but I will most likely go to Law Day also. Meeting more of your future classmates never hurts

Who here's going to the SF alumni reception on the 1st?

Received my scholarship offer today in the mail, in New Orleans. 20K/yr. Doesn't help make my decision at all. Damnit USC, why must you be so expensive and so far away?

Received scholarship packet today with 30k per year! Compared to the 1k grant from UCLA, south-central LA is sounding mighty nice right about now. Anybody going to be doing some negotiating with UCLA? Good luck all!

Same with me...$20,000/year also. I really would love to know if they negotiate. It's the highest ranked school I've gotten into so far, but it's so expensive. I did get into Wash U. but haven't gotten scholarship info yet. I'm not even sure that would provide enough leverage. What do you all think? Would a larger scholarship from WUSTL be meaningful?

A friend in law school says that USC doesn't negotiate, and in the letter they say something like, "this is the full extent of the scholarship we can offer you" or something. That's just her story, I don't know myself. Has anyone had success negotiating with USC? I suppose it really can't hurt to try, it's not like they're going to give you less $ for asking.

Foxyeconomist, I was accepted early feb and I haven't gotten an offer yet.

Blah..some disturbing news: the last "wave" (2 on LSN) of acceptances for last year were on March 24th. Does this really mean they're done accepting people? The only acceptances after this were waitlist->accepts, of which there were quite a few (starting very early, before May). So for you WLers, there's hope! For those of us Complete/IR/recently DFed....I don't know
