UC Hastings here I come.
Good Luck Everyone, Now for the hell that is 1L.
I'm still betting on an unprecedented mixed batch. I know I'm not alone here.
bleh... i'm betting its a batch still
i wish i was wrong though.
I'm expecting a rejection myself, but it just seems crazy for all of the numbers listed above to receive the same.

Sorry to all the other DF 4/27's, though who knows... good luck! I'm off to UCLA!

My apologies in advance, but definitely ignore the short rant below if you're not upset with USC right now:
Son of a crap. California is NOT a big fan of me (see my cycle), but USC is the worst so far. (haven't received letter yet but given SaraLa's stats I'm sure it's not mixed) 1 LSAT point separates a rejection from an acceptance? A 3.6 is like a dozen more Bs in undergrad than a 4.0 (or something like that), whereas the difference between a 166 and a 167 can be separated by one correct question. I don't mean to say that they owe me anything, but to not be at least waitlisted is ridiculous. Hope you're happy with your shiny new medians, Tommy. [possibly more rant to come when the letter arrives - I would absolutely take my foot out of my mouth if it were a mixed batch but I'm sure it's not]
EDIT: I'm actually quite happy with my cycle, btw. It's just that I really wanted to go to California for family/personal reasons, and I've done categorically worse on the West Coast than on the East Coast.

If you and SaraLA didn't get in, I don't understand WHO they are letting in.

I've done worse on the WC too (166/3.72) and I really badly wanted to stay in LA and eventually practice here. I'm still IR, but I'm not optimistic.. originally, I was expecting to at least catch a WL. Seriously, one question? I left 4 or 5 blank... I feel like the victim of a mean joke, but it's truly my own fault for not canceling/retaking.
Annnywayyys, Congrats on your options

Did anyone else who was DF 4/27 just go back to In Review as of 4/29? Wondering what this might mean...
edit: thinking it's probably a glitch in the system..

What if they were like reading this forum and decided to fuck with us?
P.S. I'm expecting my rejection letter tomorrow in the mail.

You say in the splitter thread that your stats are 168/3.26.
I am 174/3.38 DF 4/27
Why is it looking like I got a straight rejection and not even a waitlist? Is there any hope?

1) Because, for whatever reason, USC has decided to reject a bunch of people with stats above those they waitlisted.
2) Probably not.
Also, I can't believe I waited since early November (and I know there are people who have been waiting longer) to receive the decision I thought was least likely at this point in the cycle. If they were considering us for so long, how can they justify an outright rejection? It's not like they're under any obligation to accept us off said WL...
(time to go to bed and rant in my sleep so I don't get a reputation on TLS for being grouchy)

I'm a slightly non-traditional applicant (probably giving myself away here a bit):
UG: HYP; major in Comp Eng
8 years WE (in tech industry)
1 year teaching EFL
Not sure if that helps or not ... I was actually hoping for Northwestern given the WE but numbers too low and I think my interview didn't go so well.

I think HYP makes a difference. Philosoraptor on LSN got waitlisted rather than rejected despite 3.7, 166, which SaraLA and OneKnight both had higher GPA

OneKnight, Did you attend oxford ug? Also were you given a GPA # or just a rating for grades on the LSAC reports since it's an international school?

Sorry about the rejections, guys. At least you know and aren't stuck in limbo anymore like the rest of us. Hopefully I hear back by tomorrow or Monday, but tomorrow would be awesome. I have a couple of deposit decisions due tomorrow, and hearing from USC, one way or another, will simplify things significantly.

sigh... i didn't get the letter yesterday so im sure it'll be here today although i have to stay at work late tonight.
6+ months and 3 in-reviews for a rejection.... i don't mind the rejected part of it as much as i do the waiting.

went complete mid-January. went in review JUST yesterday. and waitlisted today. for rills??? i guarantee they didn't even look at my file.
anyways, historically, what are the chances of getting in off their WL?

You want lack of sense?
I went complete in November... In review 3 days ago... then in review again 2 days ago... No decision as of yet.
I think USC should have a loud disclaimer on the application that says please don't bother applying early as you'd be much better off taking all the time necessary to increase your LSAT score, update your resume, get all the desired LORs, perfect all your writings and other application materials, etc.
