Re: USC 2010!
Just called. They were not particularly "nice" or "polite", I would've characterized the tone involved as either "short" or "annoyed".
I asked about my application and my 9/28 Complete date without any movement. She said, "You just have to wait."
I didn't know what to say after that - call was over.
I like USC, but this has been really given me a bad vibe.

I can't imagine waiting for almost 5 months without any word whatsoever. How are your stats? I don't really see a reason why they're not even touching your application yet, since if you were an auto-reject they would've put you in IR/DF already. But I still think there are some early(?)/mid October completes out there so hopefully all of you will be in the next IR batch! They seem to be putting new people in the IR/DF phases every other day or so. But best of luck! I'm complete 12/21 so although I'm feeling impatient, I've just decided to forget about USC for now -___-initech wrote:Just called. Re: USC 2010!
yes what are your stats? that would answer a lot. if not specifics then at least within USC's 25/50/75 numbers. they seemed to have run through several reverse splitters but have yet to decide on regular splitters.initech wrote:Just called. Ya... I was going to say something similar. I'm not trying to feed your anxiety or frustration, but if you're in LA, take an afternoon to go over there and talk to someone face-to-face. I think it would be worth the time.msch0i wrote:I've decided. USC lost your application.initech wrote:around a 3.5-3.6 and 169

Re: USC 2010!
I have almost identical stats and I've been complete since early november as well. We're all in the same non-clear cut pile. We're not obvious rejections or acceptances, so maybe they're holding off on us a bit to see what else they get and what they need/want to take. Sucks though, being complete with no movement for so long...

Re: USC 2010!
I know it sucks, but if you look at the LSN graphhttp://usc.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats, there is a big white patch where your numbers would be. It seems like they have not reviewed many of the sub 3.6 applicants.initech wrote:around a 3.5-3.6 and 169
I would not go to campus to pester them. It can't do anything but hurt.

Re: USC 2010!
A visit would entail a very long plane ride for me. I don't think I'd go over there anyways if I was close.
I'm usually pretty patient with these sorts of things, but 5 months is a bit much. Then again, I haven't gotten in anywhere else I had hoped, so this can keep the train going.

My application switched to "in review" on 2/8, but the date switched again today to 2/16. Is there anything to take from a switch in a date like this? Thanks.

Damn, I guess I'd better resist the temptation to call/email about my application. This isn't the first time someone has reported a bad experience with their office.initech wrote:Just called. FIRST LAW SCHOOL ACCEPTANCE!!!
Sigh. I almost had to quit you, TLS, because of the heartburn.
I see that many people posted dates, so here are mine:
Complete: 1/25/10
Acceptance Letter: Today

Yep, that is the reality - they are ignoring sub-3.6 applicants for now. I submitted day 1, complete 10/26 or 10/28, still just complete. I know how you feel... 171/3.7 and if I recall correctly, I think we have been ignored for about the same length of time...galahad85 wrote: Yet another theory that fails to explain my ignored 167/3.87 app.
