If I'm not happy with my cycle, I will be retaking again in June...

That way applications will be reviewed early once again. Otherwise, if I get into places I really want to go then I will be going next fall. If not, I will wait one more year and hope I rock the LSAT (3rd time's the charm maybe?)

Just wanted to stop by and say helloooooo It's taken me many months to let go of the fact that my LSAT is not what I planned on... and I don't think I'm totally over it yet. It's been over a year now! Let's all support each other <3

True, but I'm going to raise my score past 165 for sure. I fucked up a LG that held me back from a 168. If I improve a little on everything, 170 is in play.

Have faith! I was worried about the same thing but I'm already into a T15. Just be patient! Some schools give us reverse splitters more credit (esp with challenging course load/academic institution/good softs!)

This is my plan. 3.9/163. Applying at reaches in the T14, and will retake in June if my cycle isn't acceptable to me.

I'm looking at your numbers and feeling a tad confused. You were accepted at Penn, and waitlisted at Yale and Columbia with a 158? Simply out of curiousity, are you a URM?

Ummm, no. Thanks for looking at my numbers and not thinking that I'm qualified to go to Penn based on my own merits. I'm so tired of everyone on TLS thinking it's impossible to go a top law school with one blemish on your academic record. For a 23 year old, I've done quite a few things in and outside of the classroom that more than justify going to Penn (fundraising over $4 million in DC, working for an investment bank and private equity group for 2 years, helping found a start-up company to assist NGOs, scoring a pre-law school state judicial clerkship, graduating MCL/PBK from a Top 5 school). It just goes to show that you shouldn't be discouraged from applying to schools because of the opinion of others. If you know you have the ability to excel and a record that demonstrates it, apply wherever you deem fit.

FYI: People with LSATs as low as 152 got into Yale last year. Regardless of race, those people were qualified to attend the top law school in the country.

Again, I am not sure if I count as a reverse splitter or what I count as.

158, 3.5LSAC GPA (although I wrote an addendum that my GPA should be considered 3.7 as that would be what it was without one bad semester the semester after I transferred schools).

Let me emphasize that I do not count on getting in most of the schools I have fee waivers to.....though it's worth knowing where you stand for $12 a piece. I pretty much have no idea where I'll get in to so we'll see what happens!

The school takes a few reverse splitters. I was on the waitlist as a 159/3.74/non-URM. Before the trolls arrive to crucify me, let me point out that getting waitlisted is different than having a real shot at admission. Still, I'd encourage you to try.
