Starting to feel this cycle closing in on me...and not in a good way

In: Hastings, Loyola LA $$
Waitlist: UCLA
Held: Georgetown & Northwestern
Ding: Harvard (duh) & Michigan
Still waiting on: Stanford, Columbia, Duke & UVA - all of which I'm thinking are inevitable holds, WL or denials at this point...

I am banned, and a douche.

Douche isn't a strong enough term, given the malicious nature of the offense.

Being waitlisted at NU is very common for splitters. They pull a decent number off the waitlists.

Good luck! I've been "watching" (I hate that term) you on LSN, it's been rough. I hope somewhere you can feel good about pulls through for you.

Seems like splitter chances start off being semi-okay at the right schools, then go downhill as time passes, then improve noticeably during the WL season. So we're in the doldrums now.

Starting to regret not EDing at UVA. Hopefully that will change once WashU sends me scholarship info...

You already get a decision from UVA?

Thanks for the encouragement DF. I'm not exactly pessimistic about my chances of making it off one of my many WLs, it's more a question of whether I'll lose my mind first.

You'll probably get one of CCN (probably off a WL) with your numbers. Should have no problem snagging a couple T14s as well. Keep your head up.

Harvard: Rejection, Penn: Rejection, Northwestern: Held; Georgetown: Double Secret Prob- Waitlist. I think I have leprosy. Thanks for the encouragement though.

In at WUSTL. Now for the $$ question.

Still pending and interested at:

Northwestern
UVA
Georgetown
ND
BU
BC
Minnesota
UIUC
W&M
W&L

I feel like my 171 / 2.8x should get me some love from a few of those, and maybe hopefully some heavy dollars from the half dozen or so T2s I submitted at.

All in all, Wash U. takes a huge weight off my shoulders though, as I now know I am going to a great law school.

ITT: WUSTL saves the day.

I know this is not usually considered a splitter GPA, but how are people with a 3.4-3.5 doing at CCNMVP so far this cycle? (if there are any of you out there).

Awesome to see so many fellow splitters. Not only am I a splitter, but I applied last week. Haven't heard back from any one, obviously, but hoping for ND or WUSTL. 167/3.2 so who knows.

Don't remember if i posted in this thread earlier or not. Anyway..

3.3X/168, applied around 1/20 to 19 schools ranging from Michigan to Cardozo, but mostly in the T15-30 range.

So far (and its still early for me), I'm complete at nearly all of them, though Cornell seems to have never received my app, so they're working on getting it from the LSAC, apparently.

I did, however, hear back from UGA in under two weeks with an acceptance, so that was a nice way to start the cycle.

I'm hoping for WUSTL as my best realistic shot (and I'd really like to weight that against BU, BC, ND, UMN, GW, if I do well with them). Anything above WUSTL is a long shot, but just maybe.. Unfortunately, this thread does not give me high hopes. We'll see.

I am pretty much in the same boat as you and applied to most of the schools you mentioned. Congrats on UGA best of luck!

Semi-splitter joining this thread
171/3.43
Hoping for a few T-14s and WUSTL (which is freaking me out because a bunch of others have been accepted). I'm a non-urm hispanic which I'm hoping will make that little difference since I'm right at the median of so many schools.
So far in at:
Miami (full ride, really considering it to since it's my undergrad and I really like the school)
UF
UGA

Still waiting for Michigan, Columbia, and the final answer from NYU
Withdrew from Cornell and GULC, will most likely withdraw from Duke
