In at UVA ED.
EDIT: I've been more of a lurker ITT and just realized I never shared numbers ITT. I would fudge them a little anyways, so for now let's just say high 170's LSAT, low 3 GPA, a few years out of UG with good WE.

Re: Splitters Unite! - Official 2010 Splitter Thread
Maybe some splitters here can make me feel better. I posted earlier that I am 173/2.35.
Apps are out now to:
WUSTL
IU-B
UIUC
American
Tulane
SMU
Baylor
UK
various state schools.
Do I have a freaking shot at any of the above. I'd love to think Tulane/SMU with some money, but maybe that's overly optimistic.
Softs are relatively "soft". Judicial board in college, worked my way/paid my way through undergrad, running my own freelance writing business. Worked for 3+ years as a sports reporter for a local newspaper in college. Community service at lots of places. A couple of arrests, everything dismissed without trials or any of that nonsense.
Good PS because I'm a writer and a nice GPA addendum explaining that I spent a solid three weeks of my senior year sleeping in my car in 30 degree weather and I couldn't afford books a lot of semesters.
So, chance me.

My guess is with a good PS you're in or at least WL'ed at all those schools. WUSTL should be in, maybe with a LITTLE money (like 5k a year). At SMU 3.0, 170's gets you 25-30k a year, so it wouldn't surprise me if you got in with 10k or so a year.Ty Webb wrote:Maybe some splitters here can make me feel better. In all honesty, you should throw an app at GULC if you'd want to go there and don't mind burning the cash on an app fee. I know history hasn't been on your side, but who knows what they'll need to keep their median LSAT score? They did let in a 2.75, 171 last year.

I have an LSAC fee waiver, so I may request a GULC need-based waiver and throw an app there.Stringer Bell wrote:My guess is with a good PS you're in or at least WL'ed at all those schools. Ideally, if I had one place to go, it'd be GULC. I've loved Hoya basketball since I was 12. I'm a Clemson guy and they came to Columbia and beat South Carolina (our rival) on a buzzer beater. I was there and was hooked for life. This is a terrible reason to choose a school, but given that I like DC and it's a great school, I'd kill to go there.
Couldn't hurt to apply, I suppose. I'd be happy going to any of WUSTL, IU, SMU, or Tulane. Hopefully I'll get into one of those.

3.3.X (LSDAS 3.4), 172, and a graduate degree
I'm in at Georgetown, Fordham, and W&L so far. I went complete at Penn today, but my LSAT is just barely above their 75%, unlike a lot of splitters who have gotten in so far. Anyone care to predict my chances at Penn? Is there anyone out there with similar numbers who applied regular decision?
