No more admits or rejections? LSN has been quiet for 2 days.

I emailed them almost a week ago to do just that, and I haven't heard back yet. Deadline's on Friday...TheWire wrote:Has anyone had any luck with e-mailing Yale to tell them of an upcoming, important deadline?

Hey guys, is it kinda weird if I haven't heard from Yale at all? Applied late January, high 170s/3.9ish. I'm not really expecting an acceptance call, but then im in Boston and the batch of rejection letters sent out mid-March should have gotten to me by now - does Yale just regularly keep people waiting until April?

Unfortunately, yes. According to last year's cycle, there were huge batches of acceptances, waitlists, and rejections on 4/15 and 4/20.barca wrote:Hey guys, is it kinda weird if I haven't heard from Yale at all? I know. I'm just saying that you shouldn't give up hope just because a 3.88/180 was dinged. We don't know what soft factors this individual had, nor do we know the quality of his/her essays and LORs.Nightrunner wrote:You don't know my numbers.

Pretty much my numbers and I'm fully expecting a ding. Plus that way I will be able to show genuine excitement if I do get a call. I'm too stoic for those things normally.BioEBear2010 wrote:I know. It looks as though there will be no movement today, judging by their Twitter silence. Considering last week's flurry of activity, it's not surprising. Also, I understand that there is a major storm reaching the New Haven area early this week.

Got my rejection letter today after my undergrad finally delivered the mail, dated 3/16. No surprise.

On LSN some people put $$$ info next to their Yale acceptance. I thought Yale doesn't give out any money? Unless it is need based aid but why would people put that on LSN?

It is all need based, but I guess some people think it's useful to put info about their need-based aid on LSN. Or they want to make it seem like they got a merit scholarship.r6_philly wrote:On LSN some people put $$$ info next to their Yale acceptance. I thought Yale doesn't give out any money? Whose profile are you looking at? 120k sounds suspicious. I heard somewhere that the max they give is 20k per year.r6_philly wrote:Wow 120k of need-based aid?
