Still on hold as well. 163/3.56. It seems like everyone on hold so far has gotten in (knock on wood), but with all the applications now in, it is definitely possible for them to start taking everyone off hold and into their specific categories.

Doesn't that have to be YP? I'm just hoping I have a chance with 157, 3.8ish

I got in after being on hold as well. I think they are trying to make sure they do not over admit. But I do have some inside information. I have a friend who was accepted to FSU Law as well and he told me that 120 out of 160 spots have been filled. Mind you I dont know how many students per year are in FSU's class. 160 seats seems a bit low to me but he said he was told this information by a dean of the law school.

Bulls, don't lose hope, I got in with 158 and 3.86. I'm guessing from your username you are a USF alum too?

Did your silent silent partner happen to know how many people are still on Hold? From the looks of LSN, no one has really been waitlisted.

This doesnt sound right. Their 1L class is typically between 200 and 250. Although I have heard rumors of them cutting this years class size (unsubstantiated rumors mind you), I can't see them reducing their numbers this drastically...

Been on hold for a month now (numbers in profile). E-mailed them this morning asking when I should expect a decision because I have deposits due before the end of the month. Instead of directly answering my question, they suggested I ask for extensions at those schools. I would but I already asked for extensions and was given 'till the end of April...

Seems a little ridiculous to expect an applicant to ask for extensions if they submitted applications more than three months ago.

Status changed to "Decision made and will arrive by mail."

Doesn't sound good considering most people got a call with their acceptance. Wasn't really expecting to get in anyway, my numbers were close to the 25th percentile, only reason I applied is I go here for undergrad. Probably would not go to FSU anyway, would like to get back up north most likely. If I get in though its going to be a tough decision since its rated quite a bit higher than the schools I applied to in the north.

FSU got me a little bit yesterday (Friday). I got a call from an 850 number and when I answered she said "Hi this is (forgot name) from Florida State, congratulations", got my hopes up, then she finished her sentence "for graduating"...man, someone calling to donate money for the class of 2010 gift. My status had been changed to "Decision Made" earlier in the day. Really doubt I am getting in though, expecting the rejection letter in the mailbox monday. Not too mad, as much as I love it here at FSU, they probably wouldnt have been my first choice.

I know that we are all still patiently waiting on the HOLD list, but has anyone actually been waitlisted yet or has it just been Accept/Reject/HOLD?

What exactly is it about Tally that's so awesome? I'm a Florida native born and raised but very very unfamiliar with the northern tier of the state. Based on my one visit a couple months ago, Tally came off as incredibly boring. If you don't mind, I'd love hearing some info about the city to help us all rest assured we're not doomed

Tally's not really that awesome by any means. The capital and university areas are pretty cool, and there are some good natural areas around for the outdoors types. The best things about Tally are probably the drink specials and the plentiful supply of FSU honeys  But on the whole the city is kinda grimey.

so do you all think that if we haven't received $ by now, that it's probably not going to happen? or does fsu give continue to give $ in may and through summer? pretty sure it's not happening for me, but just curious.

Anybody have any thoughts on who to contact regarding scholarship negotiation? I sent a couple of emails to grodgers@fsu (supposedly the law rep in the fin aid department) and Jennifer Kessinger to no avail. Any advice and/or prior experiences would be appreciated.

Have you tried contacting Janeia Daniels? She's the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and I think she was the person who sent out scholarship applications.
