Checkd yesterday and moved from App complete to HOLD. Also got change at UF status to
DLIT 3/16. At least the Seat dep at UF is in May. FSU seems to have a much better organized system for admissions than UF. From LSN looks like i just need to hld on till 1st week of april.

I think people who are held will hear soon after April 1st. Also, I think more scholarship money will be available after that date, too.

This may be helpful for those who are out of state, but are concerned about establishing Florida residency while in law school.
ame05d wrote: i am an fsu 1L, they kept stressing during orientation that out of state people needed to get everything in (everything as in what they needed to be reclassified, i am in state so i have no idea what that would be, i remember kids talking about getting fl licenses and registering to vote among other things) before the first day of classes started. In addition, they said b/c of the new stricter requirements, students should turn in their bar applications before the first day of class also. This was nearly impossible for most people b/c applying for the bar requires so many things, so much info, etc. Kids were having to get fingerprinted, look up every driving and banking record, go back and find out exact employment dates, etc. in a matter of a few days, which just didn't happen for most people. FSU admissions office is like the smallest thing ever with 2 rude receptionists answering the phones. These receptionists have never been to law school, clearly, and don't have much to do w/ the school. I would call the assistant dean of student affairs, Janeia Daniels, to get more accurate info.

Looks like they're holding all of us splitters (standard and reverse). So it looks like they definitely took my new LSAT into account in this. Going to have to write a LOCI now.

Nope. Couple of speeding tickets in high school. It's depressing how much I get asked that question.

I don't know if this is new info and/or helpful, but I just spoke with an admissions lady who said that Hold is basically a "no decision" to keep us from going bananas checking the same old status checker over and over. For sure not a waitlist which would indicate a full class, but basically you are not good enough to go in without them seeing everyone else also.

I've been Application Complete since 2/10 (154, 161/3.61). I don't know what to think of that.

3/18 mine says "decision made, will arrive by mail" I assume this is either an acceptance or rejection, correct?

Just a question. Everyone who applied, does the status change from "Application complete" to "Under review"? My girlfriend applied, and said it did that for her, but it's been over a month, and I'm still stuck on that status. This holding thing that's been going on in the past few days, is this the last cycle of acceptances?

I'm 154, 161/3.61, btw.

I went from "application complete" to "decision will arrive via mail" without ever being "under review."

Mailing withdrawal tomorrow.
Kind of bittersweet - FSU was my first acceptance. Listening to the voicemail was my, "wow, I'm really going to law school" moment.
Good luck to everyone here!

I hope so ever sense I spent a week there on a legislative internship I have loved the city and the school. However, with this cycle who knows what could happen. I just finished my LOCI which took me like a week and had an urge to check it before I fired it off, and lol what do you know DLIT.
