Maybe in my next LOCI I should mention purple is my favorite color? I'm getting loopy over all this waiting. But purple really is my favorite color. I've sent two LOCI already and not sure I can say anything new or interesting in a third one.

Was very anxious checking the status checker today as I hadn't thought to check the letter to see if it had changed. Still on hold. Nothing new. But I was a late-ish applicant and was held late as well. So not too surprising. I really feel bad for the pre-XMas applicants waiting for decisions. I don't know how you handle waiting that long. I'd be pulling my hair out.

For those Held>>>>>WL...when were you initially held? It looks like almost all of you were held in early Feb....maybe NU is going chronologically at this point?

Someone earlier today said they were held a week ago and waitlisted today, so I don't think that's what's happening. :? I was held in February and really hope I'm not getting rejected tomorrow. :(

I'm contemplating sending them a withdraw email since they never sent me a 'decision has been made' email. Just to throw them threw a loop, and to take away the satisfaction in waitlisting me.

thanks for the tip, nancy, I've been hold-->waitlisted, too. The last few weeks I've realized I'm going to attend elsewhere, but since NU was my original first choice I held out hope. Oh well... withdrawing. good luck everyone!

Woah just checked for the hell of it, and also waitlist letter (dated April 22). I would never ever ever have checked if MirandaHobbes hadn't posted about it. I was held in early Feb.

I assume they'll send out an email or tweet about it tomorrow (the 23rd) -- they probably just wanted to get everything all set up online first?

that discovery was courtesy of intrepid status checker, nancybotwin.

I was held a few weeks ago and my letter said I had until April 26 to respond.

Does that mean that if we were held but haven't been waitlisted yet, we can expect a ding?

I'm hoping they saved some acceptances for today, but I fear that might be the case. :? I can't stop checking my status checker every 5 minutes. HELP!

I would check your status and the decision letter. I didn't get a WL email, but had a WL decision letter when I decided to take a look at mine. Thanks for the heads up, NU.

Did they replace the Hold letter with the waitlist letter? And did they acknowledge that it was different?
