In!
Just got the email.
And for what's it worth, my status checker updated to 1/25 and then nothing happened until I received this email.

FYI - I submitted and went complete on 12/9 and my status never changed after that.

Does Northwestern ever send anything besides the initial acceptance email? I got mine a few weeks ago and haven't heard from them since.

Still nothing. It's a little annoying to see these December applicants getting accepted ahead of those of us who were complete in November.

Has anyone's status checker updated to complete 2/5? Just noticed that mine did. This was my second complete update...is a decision coming soon?

In around 6pm today. Was at a friend's surprise birthday party... I was almost more excited for my acceptance.

Re: Northwestern 2010
received Hold Letter from Johann H. Lee, Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid.
Question:
How do I address my LOCI?
1) Dear Mr. Lee
2) Dear Assistant Dean Lee
Hell, I assumed Johann is a man's name (yo-hann). Can anyone confirm that?
Thanks

Re: Northwestern 2010
Sorry to bump this thread...
I am going to Chicago for work on Thursday and wanted to stop by Northwestern. I applied in mid November and went complete in mid-January (had an interview mid-December). I want to see the school and also show them how interested I am in Northwestern.
Has anyone else visited the school before hearing about a decision on their application? What is a good way to approach it?
Thanks!

Johann is a man, so don't address your LOCI to 'Ms. Lee:'

Re: Northwestern 2010
I can't offer advice about showing interest, but you should definitely call the admissions office and ask about the schedule for student-led tours. If the schedule doesn't work for you, they have a "self tour" pamphlet that guides you on your own walking tour through the buildings. I did it when I was there for my interview and really enjoyed wandering around.AdmitMePls wrote:Sorry to bump this thread...

In a while you'll get a portfolio containing a paper acceptance letter, nifty leather thing, brochure attempting to convince you to go to Northwestern, and instructions on claiming your Northwestern e-mail.wjnahill wrote:Does Northwestern ever send anything besides the initial acceptance email? I've asked him about this before ... I think that something like 1/4 of all letters addressed to him are addressed to Ms. Lee.Dick Whitman wrote:Johann is a man, so don't address your LOCI to 'Ms. Lee:'

Re: Northwestern 2010
The question is, does he even bother to read those letters? I had fun writing my LOCI... since it was addressed from a Lee to a Lee.chadwick218 wrote:I've asked him about this before ...
